We owe him for exposing the fallacy of the Tma's no doubt but he didnt get people into the martial arts, he got people into MMA which is a sport. Thats why people complain when you discuss knives in a sport thread Martial arts have weapons and weapon training, sports dont.

Not Arguing, but this point I think is misunderstood. because a person or style represents better in combat sport does not mean that other styles are bad or useless. As far as I am concerned Tang Soo Do is solid (at least what I learned) the best no, but solid style for stand-up. and Norris was a terror in his tournament days, but he was not Lee, but a lot of people are not. Lee was 140lbs and was great for his size and can even be argued pound for pound. But make no mistake Lee was a standup Wing Chun fighter. He learned Judo and some Jujutsu because he got exposure to being takedown. His motivation was to learn enough to stand up that was his strength-hand speed (outside his actual strength) without that Lee would be reduced to average or just good. Don't fool yourself Lee was not a grappler and would not want to be.

Also, as I have said many times Lee had too much ego for sports he could not stand to loose (like he did in boxing matches).

I was only joking, boarspear used my typo of owned as owed, I just went with it as a joke. But Bruce would have learned BJJ if he lived, and he would be a good fighter at his wieght, but theres no class ay 140 in the UFC, 170 is the smallest, and there, he would get owned. There are some good asian fighters that probably arent too much different than Lee would have been had he lived, Genki Sudo, Carl Uno, the guy that fought Rickson in Vale Tudo (the giant killer!) etc.

Well people can put on weight i mean he coulda done like some diet which would increase his weight, there are lots of fighters who are high in weight because of their muscle, I think he could have put on 20-30 pounds in like a year then he can start fighting :P I don't mean keep eating fats, I mean he can go to the gym start lifting with some good protiens, perhaps some good supplements he can put on some extra muscle

                          • In the context of uneducated wannabe, I don't understand "."
Try saying that with more or less context.
The Program E chat robot can follow many things, like our discussion about php. But I did not get that.
Quite honestly, I wouldn't worry myself about that.

Why not stick to the topic you dumbass? Bruce is going to pack on 40lbs then go dominate a guy like Diego Sanchez or even better BJ Penn? You gotta be fucking kidding me, first of all Bruce wasnt a Black Belt in BJJ and 2nd he was wayyyyy to small to dominate guys that are. Look what happened to George Gurdel in Ultmate Figher 2, he is good as anyone on the ground, but just too small. Bruce may have decided to learn BJJ like Chuck norris and become a black belt, but not until he was 60 years old like Chuck also. Now go back and watch Enter the Dragon and dream about your Hollywood fighter who never faught in any MMA events, even when they were going on in Brazil for decades, and just imagine him doing a flying "dragon" kick through the air and knocking out BJ Penn

                              • I reckon Bruce would have dominated his weight class though.
