The only problem I have ever had on the mat is rubbing the meat of my big toes. I really do hate that.

You shall wonder if they have pin worms, I will be wondering where they had their hands last.
Funny I was yacking about the mats, the other day and last night everything smelled like Lysol.
Now it I could only talk them into hand sanitizer. HMMMMM

              Enterobius Vermacularis aka the Pinworm.

Eggs are very small and will be spread by any slight draft.

Yes, the worm lives in the rectum and will lay eggs when the temperature of the host drops.

But more prevalent than the Pinworm is Ring worm, but the Pinworm is an actual parasitic worm, Ring worm is just a fungus.

I don't know the stats but I'd say Ring worm is a lot more prevalent among gyms and martial arts schools.....

So I take it these worms and eggs and all this stuff can't be seen by the naked eye.

I guess all this goes back to keeping things clean. Everyone wash your hands, just like Mom used to tell us.
This might be really stupid, but do you ever see someone in and out of the restroom in 3 seconds, I always think. no way did they wash their hands.....Who wants that person for a partner.

Maybe their moms taught them not to pee on their hands.

OK, to combat pinworm 101 - keep your fingers out of your but during training. Ringworm, what is the best cleaner to use on mats?

Actually, I see myself as the Rambo type person. He was more hard-core.
Now, lets not highjack people's thread to talk trash to each other.

Actually you need some type of disinfectant cleaner, like Lysol that actually kills the germs.
And for the people who don't touch the pee, just imagine what is on that handle you just flushed with, or where did the person before you have their hands. You touch someone's else's mess and then scratch your nose or eyes, which we all do every other minute. Thats how so much of those things start.
Our Instructor actually had to tell some of the people to take baths because you could smell them. Not new sweat, be that dirty smell, like digging dirty clothes out of the hamper.

Thats a self defense technique, if someone comes up to grapple you the smell should put them off long enough to get your counter in...

You know maybe they didn't pee on their hands or touch the toilet.....lol. I mean it's not like we go in the bathroom and just touch everything. I know how the smell thing is though cuz there was a guy in my old class that no one wanted to roll with cuz he stunk so bad. The guy could make you tapout just standing 5ft. from you.

I guess you don't flush anything or touch the door handle to the rest room? lol.
I know I am a pain about this, but if you ever watched a show on the germs you can get in bathrooms. If running water gets rid of stuff. You can get pink eye from people or anything. The first comments on this about pin worms, that is sure to make you wriggle about.
