I give Chuck a lot of credit, but I’d like to give him some advice as well. Unfortunately we all get older, that’s a fact of life. At 46, mentally I’m at the peak of my ability in Kempo, but physically, being beat up in the gym has taken its toll on my body. This guy set the benchmark and inspired lots of fighters for years in the UFC. He was a gunslinger, but eventually you lose your edge, the caliber of fighter that today’s state of the art training camps turn out is incomprehensible. These guys are the real deal. They are strong and fast. The days of lop sided fighters in the UFC are over. If you’re not well rounded, you need to be lucky. Chuck wasn’t lucky. He is still one of my favorite fighters; he’s a gentleman and has definitely enhanced the sport.
