Hi
I wish you all the luck on your new (and very good!) venture into Thai Boxing.
I have only two bits of advice for you, but please remember this is just my opinion! I don't want a big on line argument lol.
Join an actual club.
I fought a so called self tought Thai Boxer in England. He had six years training, and I had about four to five weeks. I was over weight, slow, and very un fit. But I had been tought the basics from a very good fighter (my instructor), and he had been trained by Master Sken, respectfully.
Anyway the bell went and it lasted 30 seconds, I only kicked him twice, and a couple of punches, and I now have my first KO. Self tought people are either really good! or are extremley poor at technique, I was told this, and it was true, I hope you don't take this avenue.
Second of all, Let your shins toughen over time, work with your Trainer/Master and take it slow, time is good for the shins, and they will be rock hard and healthy if you listen to someone who knows about it.
Above all, I hope you have fun, and get as much as I do out of Thai Boxing. Cheers.
