  • Can I start my own kickboxing club?

OK, 2 styles of kickboxing in my area, one is just badly organised and neither of them offer any kind of sparring.

I get the suspiscion that this is a crazy idea that will never actualy happen but its an interesting prospect.

How difficult would it be to start like an amature kickboxing club? And would there be any legal problems?

I was thinking if I could get some other friends who are into martial arts we could train somewhere and perhaps people would want to join us...

Am I qualified to teach? I mean, in comparison to the thai boxing club my students would learn very quickly.

Well, what are your qualifications? How many full contact western kickboxing (if that is what you will teach) or Muay Thai (if that is what you will teach) matches have you won? Basically any moron that has kicked his cat at least once in his life can open a kickboxing school with no problems whatsoever, and if they can act they could even convince students to pay them money to learn how to kick their cat really hard too.

      Cool

Look the quality of teaching would be good enough, as Ive said before I could teach way better than the people at the Thai boxing club (they were good but after your first lesson you would be lucky to get more than one comment per lesson, and the comment for me was often "thats good").

As long as I dont decieve people I dont see how Id be doing any wrong.

I would kick my cat but I fear his powerful groundfighting techniques (double rake kick)...

I think you missed my point (unless you are alot more knowledgeable and skilled than I am giving you credit for) but whatever, good luck to you.

Well I think Im good enough to teach, basicaly Im fairly good at the arts I've studied and Im generaly good at teaching people things.

The reason I had this Idea in the first place was that none of the other clubs in my area do sparring.

... look it depends how you define 'qualified' most people give up martial arts in less than a year, in that time i can teach them alot more than they would learn at the local thai boxing club, plus they would get the chance to spar.

Well Ive got 1 other person who is interested, but he thinks it wouldnt work... I reckon 6 founding members should be enough...

Personaly I think it will work, I will get to train how I want and people will learn from me better than they would at other clubs.
