  • Bone and healing question

Recently while sparring my shins took some good damage from getting bone to bone contact. Over the swollen parts of my shins, I can push down with some pressure and leave a little dent. Is this normal? Is it just fluid, or maybe tissue? Anyone else experience this type of thing?

    Thanks!

Ya sounds like you are just "denting" the swelling. My shins do crazy stuff all the time, don't worry about it.. heh. It's completely normal! Well.... if you consider bashing eachother in the shins as normal... what can you expect if you are going to do that?! haha. It will heal but sometimes it takes a couple of months, I would take it easy kicking with that leg for a while.

I would definatly 100% take it easy on the kicks, but you have to be the judge of that. If your not feeling any "pain", then test the waters a bit.

How long have you been training?

What you should be doing is taking care of your shins, I usually give them a good rub down with linament before I train and after. Try and rub some of the not's out...and just let them rest.

        Hope that Helps.

Thanks! I've been training for a while. But the question just popped in my head the other night, and I thought I'd ask.
