  • Question about speed kicks

Does anyone have good info about speeding up my kicks like the dude fighting jackie chan on top of the building in that one movie? I have a powerful kicks and really flexable, just would like to speed it up a bit without dislocating by hip or something.

"about speeding up my kicks like the dude fighting jackie chan on top of the building in that one movie?"

Brilliant, I think that was the most vague description ever.

Are you talking about drunken master? I am not really sure that the evil boss was using Muay Thai, though that is what it says in the ultimate fights DVD. Looks more like savate or something.

you mean in " who am i " Where he fights the asian dude then the white dude on the roof? Your kick will not look like that, and you do not want it to look like that. It is a thai kick not a karate of kung fu kick. Just keep kicking. The more you kick the faster, more powerful and overall better your kick will become.

it is a combination of Northern and Southern KungFu Kicks, try to look at it carefully..... all of the kicks that he execute are all found in KungFu, want a proof?????

          1. He frequently use leading leg kicks
          2. He kicks 3times, 4times, 6times of kicks in one leg lift up
          3. Cause i also kick that way...... after i rushed rapid hand combinations to my sparr partner

          Note:
remember, all of the kicks from Thailand, Japan, Philippines, Korea, other countries = are all found in KungFu, especially those 72 Leg Techniques of Shaolin KungFu, my highschool friend before have a book on that but he lost it......

          Note:
i am referring to an opponent of Jacky Chan in Drunken Master version I and version II

the chinese may have every kick. But the thai's kick will always be the best kick. Simply because we perfect that kick and only that kick. So we get it down to a level that all other martial artists only dream about. Muay thai mite techincly be the best martial art, but we are the best martial artists, instead of waisting time with hundreds of deffernt techinques we get 10 or 15 perfected so we can use them aginst anybody and time and win. ( this ovcourse excludes grapeling you take a thai to the ground and lock him you will probaly win)

Thank you all on the info, what i am trying to accomplish is powerfull kickboxing kicks along with speed, like the kung fu kicks, like maybe increasing leg weights little by little , to gain more power and speed.
So you could kick someone 3 times without dropping your leg and have the same full power kick each time.

to tell you frankly, i am now in doubt..... cause as of now, i am still practicing, i mean my KungFu is not enough, i am not contented, there's still more to learn more advanced moves that my seniors achieved....

truely they say learning kungfu is a lifetime that even your reach 300years of your life (you reach 300 years old) practicing KungFu then maybe you can perfect the art of KungFu......

to tell you frankly, i can use my all techniques learned in kungfu in a sparring without commited errors on my execution, all, but as of now i am still learning/improvising.....

                Note:
all none-kungfu martial arts already finished their training and ready for combat, but for us KungFu - still learning even thou we have already plenty of techniques learned.....

i already did throw away those not-important/not-effective attacks/defense of kungfu but the remaining is still extremely plenty....

                note:
if you only know the purpose / objective / reasons why = of every pattern / form / alphabets of strikes / technique = you will truely understand that every movement(basic / intermediate / advanced) is a very effective inventions in kungfu since it is already a CENTURY PROVEN BY ITS ANCESTORS AND THE PRACTITIONERS OF KUNGFU
