It's in San Carlos. Just wondering if anyone's trained there and what they think. They share a place with Marco nascimento BJJ so it would be kind of cool to do both in the same place.

Yeah I've heard good things about Woody. Well so the deal is that I am living in burlingame and working at Stanford over the summer, and wanted a place to train. I only have a little over 2 months but I wanted to train pretty intensely so I was looking at places that teach more than one art, like boxing/muaythai (fairtex and AKA) and now Woody's place. I was just wondering what kind of teacher he was.

sorry i don't post here very often. at any rate woody is a good guy. focus is mostly muay thai which he actually studies at fairtex to keep his skills sharp. i actually train at fairtex. we have bjj and yoga as well as muay thai and boxing. before the end of the year we will have krabi krabong as well. woody would probably be more than happy to have you try out a class so you can test the waters.
I have been to AKA and they are magnificent. I've done judo and BJJ for some time and Dave Camarillo strikes me as being the best coach I've yet met. Mike Malloy runs an excellent practice, as well. I cannot say enough good things about them.
They are just way too far away from where I live and work, which is very unfortunate.
Any other ideas? Know anything about Peninsula Thai Boxing's BJJ program?
