hum...looking at the conversations between u guys kinda comfused me. I wanted to do the FEFI program in the first place, cuz i don't speak thai and i don't think lots of thais speak English... so, I was thinking that if I can't even communicate with the instructors, how am I gonna train with them? But looking at the price, the FEFI is definately one of the most expensive ones, hence I started to hesitate. One thing I really wanna know, does Sityodtong accept individual forgeiners to train there? Cuz if they don't accept just anyone outside Thailand, apprently I'd have to stick with some group like FEFI. Anda... if they do take anyone, wat's the tuition fee like? Thank you!

You will find that many (if not most) trainers in Thailand speak at least a little English. Not only that, but Thai's (in my experience) teach differently than in the West. There is less explanation, and more emulation. Thai's traditionally don't teach adults to box, they teach children.

Rather than a trainer telling you to keep your hands up, they will SHOW you to keep your hands up... usually the hard way. Muay Thai is an international language .

It is correct that the Thai experience and a Tourist experience will be different at training camps in Thailand. As FEFI has stated a Thai fighter will move into the camp, which will treat him as a family member and will pay all of their living expenses. In return the fighter will share his/her winnings with the Camp.

Tourist pay to train, but have access to all of the great teachers. It is truely a great training experience. The DVD "Muay Thai in Thailand" (on Amazon) has a good overview of Lanna's Camp in Northern Thailand.

This isn't the only camp in Thailand you can find many other places to train on older threads as well as doing your own internet searches to find thai camps. I remember being on a forum with someone from Thailand who said you can train with a lumpinee or ingram champ for like $50 for a month.
