Can anyone give me information in where i can attend training classes for muy thai in the NJ area. Thanks in advance

Depends on where you are in Jersery.
You can drive to PA to Jeff Jones' school which is right outside of philly, sounds far b/c its out of state, but its a stones throw away from Princeton, NJ www.tsmaa-pa.com
Or if you're closer to NYC you can go to Ligui Ceullar's school in Queens
Both are well worth the trip, Don't look too much at convience, but quality of instruction. But if they are both way too far, I will help you find one closer.

If your near the princeton area I would suggest the Princeton Academy of Martial Arts. Muai Thai is one of the disciplines offered there. It's on route one south. For directions or a better idea of what they have to offer visit www.PAMAUSA.comComment

If you're in the southern end of Jersey (Vineland), I strongly recommend Warrior Tribe Academy. Savate-Thai Crosstraining is one of the classes offered. Also, JKD, Wing-Chun, BJJ, CSW, and Kali. Though the fall schedule will change to remove Kali and add Shooto. Anyway, I strongly strongly recommend.
If you're in the Princeton area, I'd agree with the Princeton Academy of Martial Arts. I attended a Dan Inosanto seminar there last year and enjoyed it a lot. Knowing the instructors' backgrounds (similar to my own) and observing the students' skill and more importantly attitude, definitely worth checking out if you're in that area.

I have been training at Legacy Martial Arts in Ewing, NJ for 3 months now. It's a great school located in Central NJ (also close to the PA border). They offer Muay Thai, Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD Concepts, and Filipino Martial Arts. They will also be adding Krav Maga and a mixed Grappling program (BJJ and CSW) to the curriculum soon. Check them out online or come in for a free trial class.

Packer X...your from Vineland? I grow up out there in Buena...I live in North Jersey now close to NYC in Weehawken...I train at a school in NJ (Lyndhurst) called Dragon spirits...its a great school! Muay thai and BJJComment

You may also want to try Weapons 9 Muay Thai (www.weapons9.com)in New Brunswick, NJ. They have a pretty nice spot and good trainers.
Probably best to shop around and settle in where you feel most comfortable.Comment

weapons 9 id definitely another school i would recommend if it is in you area. my Sifu is friend with some of the trainers there. the have quality instructors.

If you're in the central jersey area, I would also recommend Weapons 9. I have been going there for about 7 months and just renewed for another year. The instructors are great and more than willing to take time to instruct someone new on the basics and correct any mistakes with your form.Comment
