  • Have you had this injury before?

Hey what's up guys. Tell me if you experienced this before.

I recently misplaced a kick and hit the top of my foot on someone's elbow. There is a lump and the usual swelling. But what I noticed is that when I push down on the swollen parts, or the lump, that it is kind squishy. I can push on it and make a little dent that will last for a little bit. I went to a foot doctor and he said the spot of impact/lump will eventually turn hard into scarred tissue. He said the keep massaging it, so it does'nt stay as big. I also noticed this same thing with my shins. When I have bone to bone contact and get a small lump, the squishy fluid like thing is there.

Does anyone know what that squishy fluid like substance is? And is there a way to get it to heal quicker, or prevent future accidents from taking as long to heal? I would have asked the doctors, but they're out on vacation.

Let me know if you have experienced this before.

    Thanks!

I always thought it was water....body kinda piuts it there as protection from further knocks. massage it, try using Tiger Balm (don't know why/how it works on so many things but it does)

I hate the foot to elbow thing, hhuurrttss

Lol. Sounds cool. Thanks for the help guys.

The main thing I was worrying about was smashing a vein or something. After my first one, I can't see too much of what was there before. Just a big flat piece of scar tissure or something.
