oh yea and some of you say mt and tkd are othing alike. TKD has cetain simulaities of MT that make you, if aggressive enuf conform into a MT simular fighter. Like doing things that are not taught by tkd schools. Blocking with kicks.. shins etc. Knees heavy hooks.. crosses to body.. accidently knoking out your oppent at a tournament and having him removed in an emeracy vichle. ( happeed at the last tourmnt i went too, some guy punched so,me guy in the forehead and droped him... see how proper punching works? many of the ppl i use to be in 8th grade with thought they could box.. when i showed one guy the rpeer jab he looked confused. They all ways round te punches and .. well whatever this little dude weuighing 80-90 pounds though he could take me, am 184 well some ppl probally prepused him into it. Iam glad i didn;'t fight em' i think i could have done serious damage, not too him of couse .. **** him but a 184 5'9 person fighting a 90 pound 4'9 person screams out lawsuit. What am i gunna say? Right. I sidn't relize tht back then. We cool now. He didn't show up at my party out of the 5 something ppl that were there ( bout 56 in ou r class) i have not seen him. Anyway MT and TKDare alike if they wee not they wuld not be put toigether so much.
adding MT to tkd is good and helps it. but add Tkd to mt is like adding a pentuiem 2 processor to a pentuime 4 posser computer.. you get me? guess some spinning kicks could be added in the MT ring but I suggest that be better added to kickboxing.
LOL!!!...you allmost sound like that dude from "King of the Hill."
Dang man, i got thi dis darn dang class to go to a weeee lil bit form there.
TKD and MT are different. The can combine well, for instance Master Toddy has said he has his fighters take several years of TKD before going into fighting.
however the concepts in the generation of force are different, the mechanics of the kicks are different.
There are however a few TKD styles that do teach the MT kicks in with the TKD material. But it is generally not emphasised as much.
I teach the MT style kicks and elbows as well as the traditional TKD kicks and elbows. And we even do clinch, but I can say my school has been the exception not the rule.
It is very hard to get TKD people to want to train as MT people Train.
Also kicking trees is silly, A banana tree is a plant more than it is a tree. So do not go out and start kicking oak, maple, elm trees and expect good results.
in ye olde thailand, fighters would kick banana trees in place of pads (which didnt really exist) because banana trees are soft. you see, any intelligent thai boxer realises that kicking things that are hard- poles, oak trees, glass bottles or whatever- is VERY BAD FOR YOUR LEGS. you should get plenty of conditioning through bagwork if you do enough training.
I just scanned through this post, seems like the same ol flame you read everywhere. What I'm really curious about is if anyone mentioned the nekked 14 year chick in his signature?
