Hey guys, although training is going to ease up for christmas at the end of this week, im rather dedicated to improvement at the moment. I want to keep in top shape and i have a hell of a lot i want to improve on. i realise i cant go over the top, but im doing strength work in the gym, and going to class 3-5 times a week, and im recovering from this ok. So, im thinking of gradually adding in extra workout sessions. i was thinking of the following routines:
Monday:
Skipping-2 minute light. 15 second rest. 2 minute pepper
Light stretching/light kicks
Shadow Fighting to loosen up
Heavy bag: Outside drill-circling both ways using jabs, reverse punch etc-3 * 1 minute rounds. 15 second rest
Skipping- 1 minute knee raises
Stretching kicks: Knee kicks, front, side, back. 10 each leg for each kick
Front kick: 20 each leg. Heavy bag: 15 each leg
Sit ups: 3 sets-varied exercises
Push ups: max
Conditioning- Stomach&chest-2 minutes
Deep stretching
Each day i will keep the skipping, stretching etc the same and i will change the bag work to:
Tuesday:
Heavy bag: Inside drill: Hooks, uppercuts, bob n weave.
Roundhouse: 20 each leg. Heavy bag: 15 each leg
Conditioning: Shins
Wednesday:
Heavy bag: Jabs
Side kicks: 20 each leg. Heavy bag: 15 each leg
Conditioning: Stomach
Thursday:
Heavy Bag: Speed drill(min 4 punch combos) Hard drill, speed drill.
Front, Roundhouse, Side kicks: Chamber/Hold kicks. 5 each leg.
Conditioning: Shins
Friday:
Bag workout: 3 2 minute rounds using all techniques
Any help, inclusions, deletions or suggestions are appreciated. Anything ive missed that could be of benefit or so forth. also, do you think i should ass in running/sprints, would there be any benefit on top of this?
