There is only 1 muay Thai school in Portland
It's in Delta Park next door to A Place To Shoot. Phone # (daytime) is 503-283-1995 for the instructor, Khru Jeremy Wijers. If his class hours/schedule are not convenient for you, he is more than willing to turn you on to 2 other of Master Chai's senior instructors who teach a more casual scenario.

Muay Thai Boran & Muay Kacheuk in Portland?
NOPE. There is only 1 licensed instructor of both Muay Thai Boran & Muay Kacheuk in Portland, Oregon, and that is me. I teach these ONLY to very select students, and any other person in this area who claims to teach either of these arts is not known to the Thai Boxing Association of the United States, the Krabi-Krabong Associaton of the United States, the United States Muay Thai Association, nor any other recognized/legitimate Thai Martial Arts Association. Both of these arts are traditionally taught within a Krabi-Krabong curriculum, and very, very rarely are they taught elsewise. I personally have never met, nor have I ever heard of anyone outside of certain provinces in Thailand, who learned Muay Kacheuk or Muay Thai Boran without being affiliated with the Buddhai Sawan Swordfighting Institute of Ayuthaya, either themselves or through their instructors. To those people in Portland claiming to teach these arts, Ajarn Daniel Inosanto, President of the Krabi-Krabong Association of the United States, will be in Portland the weekend of September 24-25, teaching a seminar at the Portland Branch of the Thai Boxing Association of the United States for the PNW Region Representative, Professor Leonard Trigg: I invite you to show up and demonstrate your abilities. Oh yes, bring your certifications.

You can also check out the gym I train at. Northwest Fighting Arts We train a variety of arts but here is the link to the Muay Thai specific page. Disclaimer, I've trained here for years, have recently certified to teach Muay Thai and teach at NWFA as well. Anybody interested in learning Muay Thai should check out all of their options. If you are in Portland then you have several places to pick from. Follow your own instincts and pick the studio and instructor that you have the best rapport with.

Muay Thai in Seattle
Have you checked out MKG martial arts in Seattle? They have some certified Thai Boxing instructors.
As for Guru Dan, he doesn't teach here. He does seminars in Portland regularly and is always at the Pacific NW Muay Thai camp but his main location is in California. We've all learned a lot from training with him but it would be false to claim him as an onsite instructor.
Let me know if MKG works for you. I can ask around for other options if they don't.
