Chris Leben has a 10-1 record:
      3 Wins by Submission
2 Wins by Decision (1 by Unanimous)
5 Wins by KO or TKO

Diego Sanchez has an 11-0 (says Sherdog, but it's really 14-0) record:
      7 Wins by Submission
3 Wins by KO or TKO
      1 Win By Decision

Before the show even aired Diego was already the King of the Cage Welterweight Champion.
Leben was 15-1 goign into the show. He was already 14-0 when i watched him fight a canadian guy. Dorksen or wutever in a ring match.

So hes 15-3 after losign to both Koscheck and Florian.

        Hello all
I am a novice at MMA (started about 8 months ago) and have a lot to learn but I love it, even more so then my tae bo tapes, I know thats hard to believe! I watched this show once hoping I might learn something. I dont know who was fighting but it seemed like the punches were coming from two feet outside the head. Shouldn't all punches come from the side of the head. They were on the ground so maybe its different.

Any tips on doing roundhouse kicks mine suck although I am getting better last night I just kept doing it on the bag and actually felt some power into it and didnt hurt my toe, I would like to get the thwack sound the comes from a hard fast kick. Is it just practice or does anyone have any tips, I am trying to turn my foot go up on the ball of foot and turn my hip over but I do not think I am actually doing it quite right.

        Cheers crackerjacker
dum name I know I think I might change it to killjack

Awesome fight today. Also, neat how that guy beat Ken Shamrock. I like how he has "a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in education." Maybe people will start losing that stereotype that all UFC fighters have the brainpower of a fruitloop.

I honestly couldn't stand it. SO many freaking ads. And it took like 20 minutes to get to the first fight, then 30 minutes of ads and bullshit. Then a fight. Then 30 more minutes of ads and pointless talking. The guy from Fear Factor? Why is he on this?? What the hell does he know about it?

I thought the 2nd fight was really boring. Everytime the announcers said that this or that was a "war" or so-and-so had real "heart" we all rolled our eyes and flipped back to watch 12 Monkeys.

The Ken fight was weird. I've never liked Ken simply because of his attitude. Most dangerous man in the world AND the biggest dick. But yeah, he slipped twice. Maybe the ring was just slippery, but I think they're usually pretty good about keeping it clean/dry plus he wasn't complaining afterwards about it. I think he just wanted to give the up-and-comer his chance to prove himself (and make some nice cash). It takes guts to be 41 and fight someone 11 years younger than you. Ken just seemed really out of it...even on the way to the ring he got mixed up and the cop had to point out which way he was supposed to go.

that last fight was really awesome. those 2 guys slugged it out for 15 min and neither one gave up. that was one of the best fights id seen in a long time, as both fighters gave more than anyone could ever expect. when that one dude got his nose broken by that stiff jab, it was hardcore.

You know why it was so amazing? because there was no Ju-Jitsu, well, maybe a little. I saw so many muay thai techniques, ah man it was so good. Especially when they were in the clinch... and Griffin gave Bonnar (not good with names) the jumping knee. I was amazed.

The decision in the end, im not sure why it went to Griffin though, I thought it was Bonnars for sure! Anyway, regarding the Shamrock fight, shamrocks abs are fcuking crazy. They are like... cartoon perfect. I was surprised he lost, I've never really watched UFC before this reality show, but. You could distincivly tell the variation in skill levels between the people that were on the show, and the people in the actual UFC (shamrock and the other guy)

                      I don't understand what you're saying.

What do you mean you can tell the difference in the skill levels between the contenders and the real UFC people? Ken sucked it up, but his opponent (as well as the two fighters in the stand-up match) really are not that good compared to the veteran UFC fighters. Despite all the pre-fight interview jabbering, being 41 and 11 years older than your opponent is a huge disadvantage, most dangerous man in the world or not.

No doubt these guys are all great fighters, but when the winners get into the real UFC with their 6 figure contracts, I believe they're going to get blown away by the veterans.

I'm still not positive that Ken didn't throw the fight. I wouldn't trust anything on Spike. So many ads, so many endorsements. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered Ken a LOT of money to throw the fight in order to make things more dramatic for public tv.

As an aside: anyone remember what Rome was like before it's demise? At least we havn't gotten to the point where there's lions and tigers being thrown into the cage too!

                        Mmkay I'll try and clarify.

What I meant was, hmm how to explain... Well the appearance of how they throw all the techniques, the accuracy and speed. Minus Ken falling twice. You could clearly see that (as you said) when these guys (The spike tv guys) get into the REAL UFC, they are going to get raped.

dude, dont talk shit about the last match before ken shamrock match. that in my opinion was one of the best fights ive ever seen. yeah all the commercials and shit were lame, but that fight was awesome. it was better than alot of ufc main events ive seen. those 2 guys made it that far and delevered because they were tough as ****, way tougher most people are. both those guys had the ability to take tons of punishment and keep standing and fighting, and its what got them to were they were. even in their previous matches they had the clear ability to take shots and keep fighting. they went 15 mins and slugged it out till the end. it was pretty fucking bloody too, cause they obvously didnt stop the fight cause of bleeding like the normally did.

who do u guys think was the winner? neither got ko'd or tapped out, but bonnars face looked fine at the end while griffins was broken and gushing blood.i think it was pretty controversial.

i didnt even bother to watch the ken shamrock match. i left after the bonnar vs griffin one . watching the ken shamrock match would have been like sitting around on a saturday night to watch some threes company. the only difference was that john ritter is way cooler than ken shamrock. ken shamrock also fueded with professional wrestler/pornstar Val Venis(the guy in wwf who was about to get his penis chopped off on RAW Monday night until John Wayne Bobbit came to his aid ) in th wwf.

btw, bonnar doesnt do muay thai. he does tkd, boxing, and jui jitsu. that was a crescent kick that hit grifin with near the end. he is a golden gloves champion in boxing.
