  • how's my build for MT?

i'm 19 and about 6'1 155lbs (athletic, pretty strong, but by no means benching 300). my weight isn't real accurate considering i've really started gaining recently (freshman 15, i guess) so it looks like i'll be around the 165 range pretty soon. is this a desirable build? keep in mind i'm not some scrawny, underdeveloped, unathletic person. for some reason i'm just not very heavy.

    I'm 17, 5'7 - 5'8, 132lbs
    You're 19, 6'1, 155lbs

You're 6 Inchs taller than me, 23 pounds heavier.

For every inch of your height, you have 2.12 pounds of weight.
For every inch of my height, I have 1.97 pounds of weight.

I am in excellent shape *yay me* haha, so by this logic. If I have a perfect body, (which I dont, but im close hahahaha) you're not too far off.

In conclusion; You sir are one strong motherfucker, and yes, that is a good build.

There is no "body type" suited for Muay Thai. Thai boxers come in all shapes and sizes. Don't worry about your "body type"

As Khun Kao said, there is no body type suited just for Thai. I agree. The only advantage I can see you having is reach because you are tall for your weight. So work on your tiips, long knees, and of course your jab. What matters most is how hard and serious you train, and then how you apply your training in the ring, regardless of whether you are short, tall, skinny, or fat, old or young, male or female.
