Hey moron i have 5 years of kickboxing experience (1st degree black belt) not to mention 2 years of karate before that (brown belt) and also learnt both grappling (security course as well as covered in Muay thai) ,Wushu ( 2nd degree) and a bit of Muay thai (mixed martial arts and seminars mostly due to kickboxing background) along the way. I also have a 5 day work out routine of weights and cardio. If u dont believe me pay me a visit in SLC preferably near Club Expose id be more than happy to demonstrate my abilitys to you.
YO...

I've been living here for awhile...where is club expose?
What Muay thai gyms do you train at...???
Janjira's...?
MTI....???
UCTC?
What?
I trained at Janjira's about 2 years ago nah neva realli was interested at competing beta to bash ppl on da street lol . I've also been to Muay Thai Institute-Kunponli for about three months den gave that up cuz i had no time for dat . CLub Expose 204 W. 2100 South SLC also near Bar X.Now I'm 6'2 an 218 lbs packed on muscle since i quit martial arts but still got da speed.
U neva heard of the belt system in kickboxing? I guess its pretti rare, Its pretti much da same as saying Fundamental, Intermediate and advanced except dey used belts ( like TKD an Karate) jus to keep the one's dat care about rankings interested.
Where I train they have a sash system to track the knowledge and skill level of those in muay thai who care to test. Most of the fighters don't at our school but for those who do it is nice to earn another sash level. I believe that there are some schools in Thailand that also do similar things. I've seen online videos of people at muaychaya.com or something like that and they had sashs like we use. I know that it pretty much just doesn't exist in sport muay thai, but that isn't to say that there aren't reputable instructors who teach the science of eight limbs and track progress that way.

I'm pretty sure neither one of those gyms, Janjira, or MTI, give out belts.
I know they have a shorts test....
Neva trained for fights????
Why don't you do the UCE thing...if you've had any formal training, to whatever end, I'm sure you'd do well in your weight class. 100 bucks every fight...unless you're full of shit.
Bash people in the street???
Like who, when, and what the holyfuck are you talking about...?
Belt levels in boxing or western kickboxing or Muay Thai for that matter is strange and bizzarre... but anyway! Im pissed too but I'm pissed because I was in Pattaya the night of Jack Osbournes fight and I didnt even know about it... dear god why so cruel? I would have paid thousands of baht to see the fat kid fight..... woe is me.
I just read a newsletter from Fairtex that was written the day after Jack's fight. The fight ended 8 seconds into round 2. Watching the clip on here, I thought is was round 1. Anyway, ya gotta give the guy credit....he quit drinking and drugs because he wanted a healthier life, and he chose Muay Thai to help get him in shape knowing how intense the training can be. Of course he is going to fight a fat, has been for his first fight, he hadn't even been training that long. Hell look at how many others, even pros, pad their records or take a "chump" for their first fight.
No he is not good "yet", but give him time, if he wants it bad enough, he will drop the weight and get into fighting shape and we will see him fight again.
