  • Duane "BANG" Ludwig

So does anyone know who Duane Ludwig is? He is a really really good Muay Thai fighter from Colorado USA and he fights in K-1 MAX and has faught in the UFC once and beat Genki Sudo. He is my uncle and I get to train with him and he is the best trainer with much to teach me. I am just 15 and I really want to fight in K-1 MAX but I might be to big sense I'm 6'1 155lbs and K-1 Max weight limit is 155lbs but the K-1 Grand Prix is for the heavy weights from 205lbs and up so when I'm grown I might fight in the K-1 World Grand Prix but the K-1 Max is still my goal. p.s. goto duanebangludwig.com

Stay in school. Do you homework. Work hard in grammar class.

If you train hard I'd bet you have a competitive chance in K1. People like "The Beast" who get winded to the point of near helplessness are fighitng away. All you gotta do is be able to take the punishment, then dish it out. Good luck to you uncle too.

      Hey Muay Thai guy,

Next time you train with "your uncle", ask him why he won't give Jeremy Harminson a rematch? I did not see the fight, and I know BANG is a great fighter, but I also know that Jeremy was not hurt and felt the Ref stopped it unneccesarily (i don't have details). Jeremy has asked for a rematch but has gotten no replies. Jeremy is the current IKF U.S. Middleweight champ, and fighting for a World title in October. He has fought all over the world too, and would like a shot at Duane again.

          BWG,

LOL, nah...I am not angry, just askin'. I think BANG is a great fighter, but if he says he wants to make his name in the sport and be the best, then I would think he would be glad to give Harminson a rematch just to shut up people like me who question it.

I have only seen Duane once in one of the KOTC videos, I didn't realize he was Bas's student. I like Bas's material, his instructional videos are pretty good IMO.

Where do you live in Minn.? I have a couple friends coming down from Minneapolis on the 23rd to train for the weekend. One of them is fighting on our card here August 5th. He needs some training with leg kicks, as he has only fought above the waist and is trying International rules this time.

Come on down sometime and let's train. Hey, maybe I can ask BANG myself. I am goign to VEGAS next month for the K-1 Max Tryouts, and he will be at the K-1 on that following saturday (provided he does not get hurt against THE Diamond).

I live in a suburb of minneapolis and I am really sick of guys jumping from mma to kickboxing or boxing or matches where kb guys fight in mma or matches where mma guys kickbox kb people.Peopl are pretty arogant to thin kthey can be a worl chap in kick boxing or Mt and also be a world champ at mma, what kind of super roids are they on, lol btw at one time I was a k Kickboxer a full contact oylimpic tkd fighter, and a ncka point fighter(LOL) and all the rule variations just about drove me completely fucking nuts!!! not to mention the differnt point fighting rules my tkd school had with it's intraschool tournement

the last kb show I saw here was a few years ago it had mt,kb and boxing 1 match had a guy that was equiped for waist up kb(hg,shin and foot pads) fighting a mma(who's from my fmr mma school) guy who only wore gloves and a mouth guard
like half the matches were ex-bouts including one betwen a fmr world champ/mt instructor and some other high ranked mt dud LOL there were a few nice ko's in the non exb fights and one nice one where a boxer had his hands at his side and just put a getto beating on the other guy.

Man, Duane will be fighting in just 3 more days and I cant wait to see him after he fights Ramon and I hope that he does not get hurt because I want to watch him fight on the k-1 card in Vegas. I cant wait until he gets me the K-1 World Max 2005 game on PS2 because he is going to be on it.

Yes I am really planing on entering K-1 but when I am ready and old enough cause I am only 15 turning 16 6'1 158 pounds so the Max is going to be hard to make that weight but then again my weight goes up and down constantly. I also have a great trainer and uncle so my shot at becoming a K-1 fighter like my uncle is most likely to happen if I stay focoused and pay attetion.

I'm 16 n I been train in boxing for 9 months but my trainer saids that I move like a person who been training for years. But I havent competed yet cause I have to lose some weight n build my body up more. Also I already know who trains you n I think thats cool but quit bregging.
