  • Considering of doing a little Mt.

I've been doing Chinese Martial Arts practically my whole life(I'm only 17). The problem i see isn't in whats being taught, its how its being taught. I just decided won't just be interesting, but it'll be a good exprience to see how other MA's train. I'll be joining a gym in late november with a friend.
    Any tips for a noob?

I would start neck/jaw training today if I were you. You know the neck training thais do with weights.
This will make you neck stronger for when the clinchwork starts. Start with light weights and increase from there as time passes.
I've heard from a few guys that they had neck problems from MT, because of all the neck pulling in the clinch, so it seems like an issue to be aware of.
