  • Where to start?

No MT schools are nearby --really no martial arts schools at all here. Back home, there is a boxing gym, which is about my only hope of doing something. I won't be back home until this summer, so my question is, where do I start?

Is it possible to teach yourself? I'm not expecting to master it on my own or anything, just get myself started until I can find a school in my area.

Are there any instructional videos available online? Or anything else that would help? Preferably free to really cheap (college student).

It's hard to learn the art without a good coach, but it can be done. Boxing is great, so get in that gym whenever you get a chance.

My website sells two very affordable videos that we did as a direct and exact review of Ajarn Chai's seminars that he has done for us in the past. We've sold these all over the world, even to Thailand, and have gotten tons of great feedback. Each DVD covers basics and combo's that he teaches. You can do alot on your own, try to video yourself if you can to check your form and so on, but eventually you'll need a partner to train with.

      Good luck!
