    Hey,

I trained at Mugendo for a while with sensei Meiji Suzuki a few years back. This was at the dojo near Kings Cross in London. It has been closed since end of 2003 as far as I know.

I haven't heard of Joe but from what I knew sensei Meiji was the founder of the art. Mind you it was before my time there (the 80s that is).

I've posted about it before either in this forum or perhaps another but basicallly several of his ex students have openned dojos of their own in London.

    Where do/did you train Carlo?

      Joe Johal

      Hi Carlo,

Just surfing the Net and found this article, not sure if your still intrested. However I am one of the few left who still teaches under the banner of Sensei Joe Johal.

Sensei was one of the orginal team who set up the Mu Gen Do system (The Ulimited Way).

Drop me a reply if you require any further info..

      Regards
      Humble Student

The name rrings a bell. Mugendo featured in an excellent martial arts magazine back in the 80's. It only produced about 3-4 issues though!

Joe Johal was in it (I think). I'll have to search my loft!

Speaking of old school mags, whatever happened to MA training? It was printed by the same group that published Black Belt.
