Help with loosing weight quick

    I don't mean to be a smart ass but don't eat. i lose like 5 pounds and gain 5 pounds almost every day. it is wierd. at night I weigh from 160-163 and in the morning I weight 157-158. It is mainly due to me not eating that much in a week but when i do eat I eat a lot and thats when I put the weight back on. i play video games and i play for hours at a time and i am never hungry and I don't notice it and when i do become hungry I eat everything. I know that my advice will not help because I am just a teen but it helps me when ever i want to drop weight and gain it.

      I use to do that too not eating much, but its not really health for you. So I just ate my food and after a few min. I worked out and burn the fat. The other thing was eating this progresso soup that made me go to the bathroom. Also I drank V8 Splash and vegetable juice to help lose weight.

        First question is WHY do you want to weigh 160.. is this an arbitrary number, or is it a target weight for a reason..?

        Secondly, and this will surprise you, you should eat every 2-3 hours.

        Meat: (grilled or broiled)
        Chicken Breast
        Salmon Steak
        LEAN Steak
        Fish (huge variety to choose from)
        Tuna Steak (cooked approx 1-2 minutes per side)
        Canned Tuna (packed in water)

        Veggies (boiled or steamed) be carefule not to overcook if boiling..!
        any vegetable you choose, however leafy green veggies should play a major role.

        Rice White minute is OK, but long grain brown rice is the best choice..

        for breakfast, you may want to eat 6-8 egg whites with one whole egg included in the mix

        this meal plan should not be considered gospel by any means, please do your own research.. No one has all the answers

        a sample day for me is:

        8:00 am - egg whites + one whole egg

        10:00 am - Tuna Shake (tomato juice or v8, dash of lemon juice, 1-2 cans of tuna, dash fo tabasco to taste) this may sound gross, but it actually tastes good and can be used as a meal replacement.

        12:00 pm - Chicken breast, steamed veggies (I like broccoli or cauliflower), piece fo fruit like orange or peach

        2:00 pm - Salmon steak, brown rice

        4:00 pm - can of tuna in water, and maybe a small helping of grapes, and a raw carrot

        6:00 pm - dinner, I might have a small chicken breast AND a small piece of steak, etc, with helping of rice and maybe a vegetable mix (you can get nice combinations in the frozen section of the supermarket)

        I usually workout in the evenings, either martial arts, weights, or both.

        9:00 pm - protein shake (tons of choices, try as many brands as you can to see what you like)

        this is a nice chance to treat yourself. add the protein mix, a banana, maybe a little low-fat yogurt, and blend till smooth)

        there are Tuna shake and Protein shake recipies ALL OVER the internet, try Google search for each.. you will get TONS of hits..

          The reason that I weigh 160lbs is partly because I am only 16 and I am 6'2. I am a tall string bean. But thanks for the food log but I am not sure my mom can aford all that right now. Although I should have a job so I don't have to make her buy it. Alls I eat is cerial and penut/jelly sandwhiches. I haven't trained in over 2 months because my uncle is real busie right now with his carrear but I am supposed to go training with him this weekend. I just got done running 2 miles and I recamend that no one drinks milk before they go joging because it dry's out your mouth very quick and it burns your stomach.

            thanks for the log, but i decided i just eat a lot lett basically 400-800calories a day. Untill i dropped down to the weight like 160lbs or 170, right now i'am at 188 so it's coming close Then once i reach that amount i will just lift. I'am also doin' muay thai classes everday which is helping me loose the pounds a lot. Thank you soo much

              Rlos, that will screw up your metabolism and you are likely to put on fat when you increase your caloric intake. You also risk losing muscle mass and even injury if you are training hard at all.

              Not smart.

                yea, but i eat a lot i can't eat that much 5-6times i just feel fool i eat in the morning bowl of cerel, lunch i eat fish and dinner i skip usually since i'am not hungry, i drink a lot of water, basically i eat normally i believe just less

                  OK Crazy person, do you know what anorexia is? Eat smart, not less. Good job being willing to change your lifestyle, but change it in a way that will help you.

                      That's no where near enough calories. Either you're calorie count is way off or you're hurting yourself, one of the two. You won't get far in MA if you don't give your body the fuel it needs to work hard...

                        well maybe I kinda of over estimated what i said. Have a bagel also have glass of oragne juice thats a total of 400 almost with cream cheese. Then have tuna or some kind of protein so thats nother 400. and uusally eat a lot of ruits so basically 800-1200. I hear to loose weight you basically decrease your intake by half sometimes. Many people have lost weight and held it off

                          OK, obviously I did not communicate well, and I appologize for offending you. I did not actually mean that I thought you were anorexic. I agree with everyone on the forum in that eating lots of spread out meals is healthy, and I was frustrated by the idea of not eating as a means to loose weight. I feel that the results are very unhealthy and temperary as well. Also, being a girl, it's all a lot of my freind talk about, and it doesn't seem to work. Again, it was a poor choice of words, I appologize.

                            rlos, taking in less than 1500 calories is pretty much anorexia when you happen to be:
                            A)Exercising
                            B)In your teens(presumably-you don't sound like an adult)

                            Both conditions mean you need more calories, and GOOD calories at that.

                            Take fruit before workouts for the sugar. Take protein throughout the day to help you maintain muscle and repair your body from the toll it's taken. Take carbs for energy throughout the day.

                            Going low carb sounds OK for you if you claim you've got fat to lose, but don't maintain a minimum carb level or you won't have the energy.

                            The type of food you're eating actually isn't bad, in fact, I'd say the menu is just fine. Just watch the numbers.

                              No matter how pretty a girl is, when the ribs stick out it's disgusting. That's why I like athletic chicks. Perfect toned body.
