Ha ha, you guys make me laugh.

But back on topic, we've all thrown out a lot of ideas here, is there anyway that we can help you integrate this into your lifestyle dude? You said that the plan thrown out looked expensive, and you didn't know if you had the time. What schedule issues do you have, school? Work? How can we help you make a plan you can use?

some thing you may not realize...

      rlos1000,

The point we are making is this, at your age, and growth cycle, your body is an engine... the more Fuel you put in (protein and carbs), the better it runs..

If you are putting in time at the gym lifting weights, and cardio, either treadmill, stairstepper, or running/jogging, you are actually increasing your metabolism, which means you body need more nutrients, not less..

by cutting your calories too low, you will rob your body of much needed nutrients, and as a result, your body will, for lack of a better word, cannibilize itself, and the weight will drop dangerously low, that is what they meant by anorexia. if you deny your body the nutrition it needs, the results could be very damaging..

it might sound like a lot of eating, but the reason for the 6 meals per day, is that you eat smaller meals, and you eat clean (meaning healthy as I described in the earlier post)

By eating the smaller meals, your body will make up for it by burning fat to compensate..

      The benefits are as such.

the weights will make your muscles grow, your metabolism increases, and you get stronger, and burn the fat..

the clean diet provides fuel for the engine, and trust me, if you work out hard you WILL burn fat.

the cardio will keep your heart strong.. and build your endurance, as well as burn the fat..

basically at your age, you really don't need to count calories, just follow a sound diet, and workout..

If you can't eat six meals a day, you can get a similar effect from just having some really good snacks. That's what I do--I work really long shifts, so I'll grab a couple yogurts or some fruit and cheese or some jerky to snack on between meals. There's some healthy trail mix out there too, or make your own to save $$.

Ok.. I missed you earlier point about being expensive..

          try this..

          6:00-8:00 am:Breakfast

(I like eggs cause they are inexpensive and if you hard boil them, you can take them with you easily.. if you have to eat on the run)

Eggs are a great source of simple proteins.. if you eat 6 egg white and 1 whole egg in the morning before school, that takes care of meal one, (also, like i said, do your own research, you can substitute other things in the breakfast meal.. like oatmeal, wheat toast with SMALL amout of butter, glass of orange juice, grapefruit, etc.. just stay away from things like greasy sausage or bacon (actually bacon is ok, as long as you can cook it where the fat drips away, like in a george forman grill, where the grease drips off)

10:00 am (meal #2 mid morning)

Go to a health food store and get some sort of energy bars or granola bars, etc. (there are often deals on bulk purchases) and take that and a piece of fruit some geggies like baby carrots, celery etc, that you can eat raw (this is VERY good for you)..

12:00 noon (or whatever time your school lunch period is)

eat your normal school lunch, it will suffice, especially if they allow you to choose a salad bar or pre made salad, or some other healthy coices

2:00 pm, maybe you drink a protein shake, tuna shake or something

the cost varies, but you can usually find a 5 lb. WHey Protein for between $29.99 - $139.99 (this will last a while) then you can use a blender to make the shakes.. you will find recipes all over the internet, especially on bodybulilding forums)

then you are good till 4:00 pm (If your family eats dinner at 5:00 pm as some do, you can skip the 4:00 meal altogether)

you can maybe eat a can of tuna packed in water (these are usually pretty cheap to buy also.. $0.69 - $1.09 per can), you can stock up pretty good for around $15.00, and maybe another peice of fruit or some lightly boiled veggies.. (again, frozen or fresh is better, but canned veggies are much less expensive.. I sometime need to cut costs also, and canned corn, grean beanc, and peas, can give a decent nutritional value is cost is a factor)

also, there are other things that are high in fish oils (omega 3) like sardines (I know it might sound gross, but sardines are very good for essential fats and oils)

then the final meal of the day 5:00-6:00 pm (or whenever your family eats dinner), then the chicken, fish, etc that I mentioned in the earlier post would fit nicely..)

I think if you take a serious look you will find ways to cut costs. By all means, you gotta rely on what you have available, but I want to encourage you to at least try to work it out.. the benefits will be worth it..

          Good Luck,
          Dave

Is he still here? Are we talking to ourselves at this point? I always wonder that when the person who asked stops posting.

Also i read in a forum about stretching, well i started doin' the stretch where you have your legs against the wall and your ass on the ground, your legs basically stretch, since gravity. it's hard to explain the stetch, but it has helped me a lot, thanks to who ever had posted that. Also you can do crunchs while your doin' this stretch, it's AWESOME!!!!!
