Good MT Training in Kalamazoo MI?

Hey i just lookin to see if anyone knows a good few place in Kalamazoo Michigan where i can get trained in Muay Thai Kickboxing,

I am kinda limited to how far i can go in terms of travle becase i am only 16yr's old
Also i am new to this Martial Art as well. I have done Wrestling and some Judo but i think it's time for some Muay Thai training now.

Hey! Another person from Kalamazoo! I've been training in Muay Thai for 5 years (7 Fights). I'm currently at the southside dojo in Kalamazoo. We're at the corner of Portage and Centre. Check out www.southsidedojo.com for more info. The dojo is mostly Judo and some Karate classes, but the kickboxing classes meet Wednesday and Friday 6:00-8:00, and Sunday from 8:00-10:00. If you want to get involved talk to Dan the kickboxing instructor, he's knows a ton of stuff! He doesn't do Muay Thai specifically, but his focus is on being effective in actual fighting situations. I'm currently training a fighter on the side for a Muay Thai fight on March, 25th. If you want, feel free to talk to me and I'll try to be available as much as possible. Ok, anyway it's good to see another Kalamazoo person on the board!

Somthing sounds familiar from that Gym, i think two of my friends went over to that gym just for a quick sparring vist with there trainer..
If this is the place i am thinking of they where tellin me about somthing about how befor or after i think you guys kick, you like thump your foot on the ground, Somthing like that. is that true?

and oyea ill have to cheack that out, right now i am saveing my money for all this shit ill need for the future befor i go sign up but yea thanks for the infomation

only problem is with sundays, but i think ill beable to work somthin out.

PS= if i am not mistaken like 8 years ago i was doing judo with them at there Old location, but i am not 100% sure if it's the same place i am thinkin of.

I'm not sure about the foot stomping thing.....I don't remember anyone doing it. Anyway, check us out if you get a chance. I'll be down there tonight if you want to stop by and see what we're all about. One of our fighters will be down as well getting ready for a King of the Cage fight bout next weekend, so you can see how we train. Ok, hope to see you down soon!

Just an update here.....some other fighters and I have started our own club separate from the old gym. We will be focusing our efforts on Muay Thai. Let me know if you’re interested.

Wolverine, i am also from kalamazoo and ive been seeking Muay Thai instruction for some time now. I think the closest place that trains actual muay thai is in lansing from here. good authentic muay thai training in detroit

I train at a good muay thai gym in detroit, mi. most of the classes are taught in Thai, but they do teach some in English. They have 5 gyms in the area maybe give them a call 313 581 5085.
