    avoid salem airport

I would fly out of Portland (PDX), Salem won't be that convenient. There is a shuttle to PDX throughout the day. Call 503-364-4444 to find out the daily schedule. Then you can figure out what time to fly out of PDX.
    Best of luck,
    Fugetsu

What we have here are some ragged individuals. I think that's gregimotis in the white shirt left-front.

          Right on Gregimotis

Thank you so much for helping me carry this thread onward until camp time. I looked for Donald...lol Is he off in the bushes where Natalie threw him? Have a great weekend, and please ask the boss for me: "Sanook mai, Master Chai?" Just a quick story about bodybuilders. Joe McDonald from Houston was late getting to the camp last year, coming in on the afternoon of the first day. Master Chai asked me to show him where to stash his gear and set up camp, and told Joe he needn't work out but could prepare for dinner instead. Joe said, I want to work out if I can. So, he rushed over and put his bags in an Adirondack, put on his short pants, and got to the field just in time for Master Chai to say: "All right everybody, 50 bodybuilders!" You gotta love it

            Lol

Master Chai tested Aaron Hayes this weekend by surprise. Khru haynes passed, but then just a few minutes after testing, K. Nat runs up behind him, yells "Hey Aaron good job!" and wacks him right in his cherry red thigh.

Ha ha Aaron, welcome to Santa Fe.

Yes; I was hurrying back to edit this thread after reading a little on the Krabi-Krabong thread and seeing all his accolades.

                  Sorry ...

                    Me too.

I'm sure no offense was taken - it wasn't that big of a deal.

Hey look at this, people acting like grownups on the internet!!!

                    • Darn it, I know it's around here somewhere. Sorry, I think this has already been asked but I can't find it: when can we expect to be back to the airport? i.e. if we have to get on a flight or something in Portland around 2:30pm on the 1st, is that possible, or should we find another plan? Seeing as the bus will take us to Salem...

(And good job on the being grownups thing! I'm very impressed!)

                      • We will do everything we can to ensure you make all your connections, both coming and going. But you have to do your part also. We should not be expected to know all the shuttle times, there is plenty for us to do already. As usual, a list will be posted on the wall next to the kitchen entrance, and we will work off of that to get people down to Salem. There are usually many people returning rental cars to Portland, not all of them full. Ajarn Dan has even given rides to the airport to lucky campers. So, prepare ahead of time and take advantage of any opportunities that may arrive once you are here. And as always, the most important thing is.....HAVE FUN

                          • To all who go to the camp

This will be my 9th camp with 7 being at Silver Falls. I have been to the camp in the best of shape and in no shape. the best of shape is definitely a preference. I am currently doing 30-40 rounds continuous at least once a week. I have found that having the body used to the repitition as Fugetsu has alluded is a key. I personally burn it out some in the run b/c it is easier for me. Dont do it if you arent used to it, you will suffer. The key is to be in good enough shape to enjoy the atmosphere, the training, and towards the end have mad timing and confidence. This camp is a must for fighters who are fighting in August. Bring lots of clothes and a old pair of shoes to throw away when you leave. My clothes usually smell like a mixture of wet dog, thai linament, and stale thai food. Ahhh! I can smell it now. Dont forget to look at the stars at night and remember that we are all very alive.
