Synthetic or real leather

Trying to pick out some gear and not sure if I should go cheap and get synthetic leather and more expensive with the real leather. Any suggestions? Also, I have seen a company called "Thai Sport" at www.thaisport.com. Anyone here of them?

I have had good luck with real leather, seems to wear better as it breaks in, of course dont let any vegans know about it!!! I dont hate all vegans just the snotty self-rightious "my diet and lifestyle is a moral highground from which I look down upon the base and cruel world" vegans

i've tried a few different styles. If you can afford it, i'd stick with leather.
I've had synthitic leather that had only lasted a week or two in the gym. But a couple a good synthitic leather would be ringside or top contender.

Hmmm i'd go for leather if you can afford it. The cheapest leather stuff you can afford will probably outlast any mid-range synthetic. Unless you know what kind of Synthetic will last, go for leather. Consider it an investment. The few extra bucks you pay will make the bugger last a few extra years.
