A good way to get your coordination up is to actually perfect your foot blocking.
Have someone with leg pads on stance and bring up easy low front kicks in different heights.
Use your legs (Without looking) and gently block them, pacing yourself until you feel steady to increase the rate.
This will give you better timing to react and block at the same time. Once you have that down, not only will your aim increase dramatically, but you will be able to predict subtle movements and counter before they strike.
