Flower Question

I was woundering about the flower thing that Thaiboxers in Thailand have on them sometimes. The ones that hang around the neck. Do someone know why thay gott that?

They are referred to as Puong Malai (essentially "wreath of flowers"). It's very similar in meaning to the Hawaiian Lei. You give them to someone as a means of expressing good wishes. Family, Friends, and Fans give them to a fighter before he fights as a means of demonstrating support for that fighter.

ok. So thay can be given to you by a trianer for example or anybody who wishes you luck?
