    Any words of encouragement on going back to my kickboxing class would be appreciated ... I have been in hiatus for over a year (membership is paid in full for a while yet) but feel super awkward going back after having let all this time go by. Anyone been in this poistion? Any hints on how to overcome this silly feeling?

    The only thing awkward is throwing away your money!! Nobody is gonna think any less of you for the absense. If anything people will be happy to see you return and excited to show you some new tricks they may have learned... Get back in there and train!! Good luck.

      many people stop longer than 3 years and return with success. For you who stop only one year, it could be very challenged for you to see if you have potential enough and finally make it, isn't it?

        Approach your instructor and let him know you've been very busy with life and that it's great to be back. Nothing to feel silly/awkward about!

          Just go and get in there! I understand how you feel but take the step and go hard! Trust me, you will not regret it.
