Mike Miles is in Calgary, which is quite a stretch from Toronto. You can try Bob Carver's Thai Boxing Academy in Ottawa, it is closer. Bob is the president of the Thai Boxing Association of Canada so he should be able to help you find someone closer. Mike Sweeney's school in Kingston is okay, also.

Im just starting out really, so think ill stick around Toronto for now.Though moving out to Calgary isnt much of a problem.I'll see how things go here and see what I want to do once I get going.Im loving Muay Thai, and im thinking I really want to push myself to go as far as possible, so who knows...
Thanks for the heads up on Mr. Miles.

I'd certainly agree that Mike Miles is one of the top Ajarns in Canada.
http://www.lannamuaythai.ca/ - I met Mel in Chiang Mai just before he left.
His school in Toronto hasn't been open very long though.

I would also vouch for Lanna in Toronto and Bob Carver's in Ottawa. Though Khru Mel is running a new school, they are easy to find as they are at every card in Ontario and Western Quebec, and have an ever growing student body. Khru Bob is an excyclopedia of MT, a fantastic instructor, and good friend, with students who also compete regularly.

I have witnessed Mike Miles and his team for the past 3 years at the IKF NAC and World tournaments. He is a great coach and his fighters ALL come prepared. They put on one hell of a show, great skill! They always go home with several titles.

Whenever I fight at his school, the crowd is awesome and most importantly, respectful.
I'd LOVE to train with him sometime... but I live in a different town.
