There is alot I respect about MT fighters, and one thing is their amazing conditioning. Im wondering what conditioning you guys go though on a regular basis, specificly for your shins. I have been just generaly beating my shins up for a while, both in sparring and on my own, what else should I be doing?

I thought so too, but I checked it out, it was Ross Pettfer vs Rob Evans at Cage Rage 4. Rob Evans being the guy who broke his tibia.

I was unfortunate to connect with a hip bone in my case at full power & being 6'4 you can imagine the momentum i had generated with my long legs.

I would just kick the heavy bag (not a concrete bag) to condition your shins. I wouldnt go doing any bizarre conditioning stuff, you;l probably just hurt them. Light shin on shin leg kicking and checking is good too to get a feel for it. Just tapping, nothing heavy.

I believe your shins become harder from plenty fo training with heavy bag and also getting stronger each time a knock recovers. What many people dont realise is that when you are fighting in a competition with adrenline etc you shins dont hurt until much until after the fight. In a Muay Thai fight the idea is to show your techniques are stronger and nore affective than your opponent so a certain amount of control of not expressing pain so everyone can see is required.

quick question...is it smart to begin conditioning my shins right from the start or should i wait for my legs to become stronger from running and skiping first?
Ive been trying to kick the heavy bag after my classes and it hurts like all hell.theres no black or blue on my leg but it hurts as if it were badly bruised, not sure if the bone would turn black or blue anyway.Theres one spot where it hurts the most, where theres really no muscle around the bone and thats now turning dark as if begining to bruise...Some advice please?
