  • Muay Thai Madness Event - Sept 6 2008

    Greetings,

It’s been quite a while since the FIRST Muay Thai Madness Event at the Lido in Revere MA and I’m sure you have been wondering why you haven’t heard from me about the NEXT event.

    Much has happened.

We lost money on the first Muay Thai Madness, so the promoters (CombatZone LLC) were in contention, etc, etc, etc.

To make a long story short, Bruce Marshal has formed a new organization wholly owned by him and he is again promoting Kickboxing and MMA events.

I am serving as Match-Maker for his Kickboxing events, focusing on developing the fighter pool for this and all Kickboxing events in the North-East and making sure the Kickboxers are “treated right” !

To facilitate my personal efforts to breath life into Kickboxing in the USA I am launching a new rating organization.

The USKBO (United States Kickboxing Organization | Serving Fighters, Promoters, and Fans !), which will be operated as a NOT FOR PROFIT service to fighters and promoters with REAL ratings, mandatory defenses, and much much more. I hope you will visit User account | United States Kickboxing Organization and register so that you can get our newsletter.

In order to keep the quality HIGH, all membership must be approved and REAL names (person, gym or organization) are required.

So…. DO YOU WANNA FIGHT IN SEPTEMBER !!!!! ???????

If you or one of your fighters is interested in being matched at Muay Thai Madness Sept 2008 ( the first USKBO rated fight card) please go to …

and fill out as much of the form as possible. (Female Fighters please indicate your gender in the BIO field.)

If you have ANY questions please feel free to simply reply to this email !

    MANY THANKS !

    Joe Stagner

thats good to hear your keep the competition going. I'll post your information on my site.

a lot of promoters have been running mixed shows. I've been seeing that more and more. I know of a guy in Denver that does a mix show with Amateur Muay Thai the first half of the event and a Gi / No Gi Grapplinig, and I know of a guy in Rapid City that runs a event that has the first half of the event as a point karate competition and the second have as a gi / no Gi grappling. But i've been working with them to try and get in some continuous point sparring matchs and smokers done. I try and do what I can to help keep the interests up.
