YouTube - Ong Bak 3 Teaser Trailer

Looks like he is getting back to some of the old stuff, sort of a mix of the 1 and 2 type of fights.

Nice, glad to see he's back to his flying elbows and kneeing ways. Any idea how many Ong Bak's there will be?

Nice to see some good fighting again.
I am curious though whether he'll be using more styles or stick to Muay Thai.

it says now the release date is April 2010.

          Plot:
The legend of Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien (Tony Jaa) has lost his fighting skills and his beloved stepfather at the Garuda's Wing cliff from the raid led by Jom Rachan (Saranyu Wonggrajang). Tien is brought back to life with the help from Pim (Primrata Dechudom) as well as Mhen (Petchai Wongkamlao) and the Kana Khone villagers. Deep into the meditation taught by Phra Bua (Nirutti Sirijanya), Tien finally is able to achieve 'Nathayut'. His talents are put to the test again when his rivals including the Golden-Armored King's Guard (Supakorn 'Tok' Kijusuwan), the mysterious killers in black, and Bhuti Sangkha (Dan Chupong) return for the final massive showdown.

I'm hoping after this third part of ong bak, jaa moves on to bigger and better projects. Hopefully the third one will end the ong bak series because the first ong bak is still by far the best movie he made.

I'm glad they are getting back to a more thai martial art format. One thing though, I hear that this movie is supposed to be the connection between the first and second movies. I can't see this being true. There are too many years between them and it wouldn't make sense in the movie. So I think there will be more ong bak movies. Ong bak 38 after the war chan returns home to find his family slain only the baby left alive but he cannot raise the child so he takes him to a temple in the province of nong pradu. They call him ting... And the legend continues yada yada yada. Hopefully jaa learns english and blows up. And stops with ong bak. Jaa should have played khonom tom it would have been better and if they put more money into it. Wasn't he supposed to play naresuan?

he was supposed to do naresuan but in thailand they recently did a huge like three part movie on him that was pretty big and looked expensive so i dont know if that put a dent in his plans for that...

my favorite of these type of movies is bang rajan.

I agree, I hope Jaa moves on to something different since he has all the tools to do it and the Thai marial arts are rich and varied, both with and without weapons, so there'a a lot to exploit there and also in Thai history-like in Bang Rajan as George mentioned.

I agree with what has been said in this thread.
Jaa could surely move on t bigger and better projects, some of them probably regarding history.

BTW If King Naresuan is done is Nai Khanom Tom still available?

They did a couple of nan khom tom ones. There was a recent one which was quite bad. Lets hope this next one actually comes out in april because they never seem to make the release date with these things.

Suryothai is good as well, I haven't seen the one edited and produced by Francis Ford Coppola but the Thai version is good.
Do you people know any other good Thai historical movies?
