Thats what he might as well have said. We expect more out of a project of this nature graceffo we dont care about your journey or experiences while doing whatever it is that ur doing this week. If your gonna title a book kun khmer thats what it needs to be about. I know your lurking and hanging on to every word posted in here so take it as constructive for your writing and martial arts career dont be defensive or try to bring other people up in your issues. I got the links where he was attacking a specific person who has nothing to do with this thread or any attack against his juvenile mind. But he is way off base with his assumptions which he generally bases his work on not hard real research. The person Graceffo is attacking has released hundreds of pages to his underground people over the last 10 years or so most of which incinerate in intelligence, hard work and research anything graceffo has ever released or will release, special dvds, commercial dvds, personal teachings, shows at museums, and has been a TEACHER for over 20 years which means he was already at that status before graceffo even knew martial arts was a way to exploit, fabricate and use as a tool for his fragile ego. Secondly, it was APPALLING to me for him to even suggest he walked every part of cambodia to say nobody he knows knows this person. My friend traveled cambodia on a research trip with this person so i know firsthand the staggering amount of knowledge he gained going and nobody they ever met knew any idiot named graceffo. I mean come on. This guy is way off base. I have totally now lost all respect for him. He still needs to admit like a man that bokator is made up and he is the puppet with the black belt masquerading it around and insulting every real cambodian master. All the real cambodians know the story with graceffo why they are not speaking up is beyond me? Graceffo didnt do any damn research I found out through emails that someone in California gave graceffo the name of the bokator guy after graceffo was crying he couldnt find any masters in cambodia. If you research that fact, you will know its truth because the person is a cambodian. There must be a reason that the person he is insulting doesnt answer his emails..a master knows when a charlatan is knocking at the door and he keeps it locked. almost 1000 hits on this forum means tons of people are coming here and hopefully learning something.......thanks tenzen by the way for the input. I wasnt even going to say anything about it because graceffo doesn't know what he is talking about. There is a difference between someone who spends decades focused on a specific region or regions and specific styles and works with PhD advisors and trains religiously to try and master them. He is not try to create myth as you say for himself but trying to survive those styles and make them famous over him.Comment

Graceffo is missing the point totally it seems from what i am reading. It plainly comes down to credibility. He wrote a book called Kun Khmer. I gave it a review he didn't like. I popped his cherry obviously since he is surrounded by nuthuggers and the blind who tell him he is great or something. He blew a gasket because he thinks he is somebody though what he is I have no clue ==a martial arts journalist? An MMA fighter? A George Plimpton wannabe who can't write? He wrote a book that by his own words is a search for bokator--but he doesnt say what bokator is? What is the history? what are the techniques? How does it work? where did it come? Who are the teachers? How did this one teacher of his come by it and revive and remake it into something new with obvious belt rankings? Thats a damn good starting point I think. So when someone said its a book about a personal journey over a scholarly well researched documented book there isnt even a damn index at the end of the book---How could he even get mad? What the hell is the book to him--a great book about cambodian martial arts?
I think the cambodians might be supporting it because they milk a ton offf of it though they know the truth about it. He is building it up so he can pull off it and they can sell it. Remember he was a wall street dude. My cousins are on Wall street. Christ, they can sell you anything without remorse. So part of it is that graceffo is like salesman he doesn't want scholars, real journalists, practitioners or any type of intense scrutiny messing up his game. So basically we all suck and we dont know what we are talking about! We are angry! We dont know shit about cambodia! But people are racing over here reading this then running off and making comments. At least we dont pretend to be something we are not. If graceffo had something to say then say it direct to those people he wants to address.................Comment

Graceffo is on defend, I remember he posted about a supposed last remaining sword teacher in Thailand two-three years ago.
He could answer to all these posts directly and clarify things, I don't understand why he doesn't.Comment

Correction: it says one of the last sword masters. To my knowledge, there are still quite a few who are teaching and even more who are learning.

The nonsense continues unabated in the new black belt he goes on about mma now and how he had 10 lessons and handful of wrestling workouts and now miraculously he teaches mma classes in malaysia! Best one for all for all of you following the circus is this line---for stand-up grappling, i opted for a different approach: i'd train under a muay boran teacher! muay boran? I thought his dude was repping bokator? This is beginning to read like a comic book.Comment

I can't even keep track anymore. Nothing adds up. Muay Boran for stand up grappling? It seems he just jumps from one thing to another and announces himself an expert on it. It's a big hustle but its become common now in the martial arts. Makes sense now too people will attack the real product because it tarnishes their game--so the answer to why he would attack someone of integrity, credibility and skill is because it poses a serious threat to this charade. He is evidently broke by his endless posts so that is telling us he is not successful and not making money but yet constantly trying to sell himself and his ability. Its really a strange thing to me.Comment
