I've seen muay boran aka ancient muaythai, and I don't think that modern muaythai punches the same way. The modern muaythai punch seems to have copied punches from international boxing. That is forming loose fists, throwing punch from the shoulder, twist the fist palm down before contact, while clenching fist tight. Additional power is thru turn of trunk and hip, right down to the twist of the foot of corresponding fist. What is yout take on this, any authority here? I'm not implying that muaythai punch is 100% same as international boxing, but the basic execution is copied or borrowed from international boxing.
