  • MUAY Submissions, Breaks & Locks of Muay Thai & Muay Boran

This book does seem to be about another patchwork of techniques following the trend of muay boran.
Also the author calling himself "master" when old Thai teachers don't even call themselves that
    raises questions....but I haven't read the book so I can't really judge.

Oh, yeah..I saw this book. I was suspect the minute i saw the author "Master" Lee. Like the guy was hiding or something. Is he master lee karate expert masquerading as a muay boran guy? And secondly "master" of what? Not a kru or teacher but a MASTER. I saw some pages from it and its the same stuff they sell to weak and gullible foreigners. its just muay boran some hodgepodge of techniques with all these names. Anyway, KYUSS will be around here and he said he will pick up the book and do a review. He is the better man for the reviews.

This is book is on the radar. Thanks for reminding me Tee Sok and George. I will get it shortly and do a review. I have to agree everything about this book smells of garbage but I will give it a fair read and do a complete review.

Looking forward to your review and insights on this. Most people are following the marco de cesarsis mold though they will say I am not with him or whatever--its the same approach and the same all these techniques are just muay. This is stuff created by government agencies where they give out ranks and all that. They want to have it one way so they can control it and these guys buy into it, achieve phony ranks then spread it as truth. There is so much delusion out there it isnt funny.

I think one of the most important points is that many of these people believe themselves to be a MASTER but as proven they are usually not well aware of the complete situation they have bought into meaning they haven't researched and evaluated anything and took everything as truth. I mean I had to have my own eyes opened to it as well especially when living in thailand and as you saw with chaiya, with graceffo, they have blinders on when it comes to the truth or doing the hard work to get at it.

The forum wars here have certainly been testament to the fact that people want to push their kool-aid but refuse to acknowledge reality, research and truth.

I will do a balanced review of the book. It will hopefully open up some more important dialogue on this topic as John says previously has erupted into wars that only put the truth on the winning side.

I have read the book twice and put together my rough review. I have a friend who also bought and read it and I sent them over my review so we can discuss it further and gain some more insight from someone whose opinion I value highly. Look for my review shortly. I will start a new thread for the review so its focused on just that.
