  • i see alot of stupid questions about how to do this and how to do that...

if you are in muay thai and you are asking something about muay thai then something is wrong with your teacher..

    s.hit like

"hey guys i just started muay thai and i wanted to know how to throw an elbow"...

    bwhahahahahahahhaha

ask your damn teacher.. he should teach you that... and if he hasn't teached you yet its cause you haven't gotten the basics yet.. take your time... and learn ..

you gotta crawl before you walk...

if you in muay thai.. ask bjj questions please!

How do you respond to a post like this?

Basically, crazyjoe . . . your nuts man.

People should ask questions and forums like this are great places for resolving/answering those questions.

Yes, they should talk to their instructors, who in most cases are better sources for information since you can't rely on the "claimed" expertise of most forum posters, but gathering information via these types of forums is a valid method of research.

i dont like how you refer to the teachers as DAMN TEACHERS, thats pretty lame if you ask me. i can see where you are coming from but this is a open forum, so you can expect people to ask questions, whether they are stupid to you or not , i dont think there are many dumb questions. but as it is an open forum then you also have the right to be a jerk about shit, but soon people just may not even want to respond to you. just go easy on the newbies.

damn teachers and other phrases is just the way i talk... does it remind you of childhood or something? jes.....

          "go to your damn room"...

          *jimi starts trembling*

          "not DAMN again"

          *jimi runs away*

dont trip i'm just goofin but .. seriously that's a dumb reply.... this is just my opinion.. dont get your panties in a bunch...

i think that if you have a good teacher .. take your time.. some newbees rush..

the lesson of the day is..

          "time"...

i answered many questions by making some people realize that it takes time for what ever martial arts your in..

my bjj teacher hates it when you try to teach in his class or ask other students to teach you a move that he hasn't tought you yet...

if you only took the f.uckin time to read what i'm saying instead of reading the negative remarks then i'd think you were guys were smart.. but you guys aint...

if your teacher doesn't teach you the elbow.. then there is a reason..

i'm not saying dont ask.. if i am i'm being sarcastic...that's all..
all i'm saying.. is crawl before you walk..

          that's good advice..

The reason I see someone asking on a forum about a particular technique would be to get an outside opinion. Sure, an instructor is supposed to teach you the correct way to throw an elbow. Sometimes which surface to make contact with is never covered or may be ambiguous when explained. One individual, perhaps an instructor, may be of the opinion to only make contact with the tip of the elbow. If you question the instructor "why not use part of the forearm rather than just the tip?" you may get a "because that's the way you do it" type of answer. If it does not make sense, why not ask someone else? Perhaps someone who may have actual experience fighting rather than just getting a certificate or just plain opening up a school and claiming to be a master.

So I suppose I am telling you that you are wrong. Perhaps the better place for your statment would be better off in the BJJ forum? It seems that there are quite a few questions regarding technique there as well.

                here is a valid cliche:

                  What???

basics, yeah like basic grammer. I don't think teached is a word, maybe in Mr. Websters ebonics dictionary.
