1. Any power that can be abused will be abused
2. Abuse always expands to fill the limits of resistance to it.
3. If people don't resist the abuses of others, they will have no one to resist the abuses of themselves, and tyranny will prevail.
Welcome to the Socialist States of Amerika . Coming soon Jan 20th 2009!
I dont thick your question is stupid. "YOU DONT KNOW UNTIL YOU ASK SOMEBODY". I quess its all in the eyes of the beholder.
most of what we know in the west is some sort of derivitive of a martial art. We think of the arts coming from asia. There are a whole lot of other fighting systems out there ( western boxing), the vikings had them, greeks, midevel knights. Most dont consider them martial arts. there is a difference between ma and sport. The spirit and application are different.
As far as sumo's they are tough guys. we in the west dont think of them being martial artists but in japan they are gods.
I personally don't like Sumo, it's very borinjg to watch on TV and being that fat can't be good for you
Not knocking it though, I know nothing of the sport really and I'm sure there is immense skill involved in what they do.
Sumo wrestlers in Japan are like our fotballers here in the UK, they're national superstars and earn LOTS of cash.
My sister lives in Japan and has been to a contest, she says seeing it on TV and the actual real life experience are worlds apart, she really enjoyed it.
