And you're the father of two young sons aswell. You'd never have guessed. Are you sure it's not one of your kids kidding on to be you on this forum as it all seems a bit childish.

haha... I'll response to the original thread.

I started to study and train out of curiosity. Now I see it from a perspective, its because I enjoy letting my fists and shins do the talking, seriously or just for fun.

Thats why I'll spar with anyone of my friends. From that I won't only learn how to beat them and have fun. I'll effortlessly get to know them better. My friends are ordinary guys like me. I will know what an ordinary guy is like 'cos everybody is ordinary in their own ways, so I can apply them in competition or street fight.

With that knowledge, I'll be able to know what to use and what not to use.

Would love to spar with a girl around 17 - 22 years old. Maybe cos of lust, but I wanna know how to handle the average women. none i know would do so. Thats why I am not sure how hard I should hit a women, or how soft. I just don't. It allows me play love or avoid unnecessary fights with people regardless of who they are.

Hit me hard, I hit you harder.

Well I’ll try not to make this to long.

In 1981 I was working on getting my black belt in wado. I knew a guy in High school who was a boxer. He knew I was a martial artist and challenged me to a slap boxing match. Well since he was a boxer. I told him he had to let me kick. He agreed. He kicked the shit out me. So I totally resorted to kicking. I was able to keep him away. Any way he invited me to come watch him fight in a exhibition match that week end at his gym. I said cool.

At the boxing gym there wasn’t just boxing but there were other MA there too. There was kung fu kick boxing and this thing I never heard of before called muay thai kick boxing. I saw a few guys in the back working out on heavy bags. These guys were jumping up nailing these huge bag with there knees with a very loud whump! Then tat, tat with their elbows. They would jump back then in again with the knees. I was so impressed.

I returned later the next week to see if I could watch a session. The instructor said no problem. They were sparring. These guys were brutal. I’ve never seen techniques like this before. I said is this kick boxing they said no this is thai boxing. I saw them doing shin kicks so the next day at the dojo while sparring I was sparring this guy who would always unload on me, every one hated sparring this guy. While sparring he was beating the shit out of me. So I did it. I threw it. I threw the shin kick to his thigh just like I saw the thai fighters do. I threw it hard too. Karate lessons 35 dollars, the gee 25 dollars the expression on this guys face when the shin kick landed PRICELESS!
He went to the floor grabbing his leg and yelling like a little girl.

I was going to wait until I got my black belt before doing the muay thai but after that I went down the next day and signed up. I did MT and wado for for about 10 months together before dropping wado like a bad habit to concentrate on MT. At least I did get my black belt before stopping wado.

I’ve had the good fortune of going to Thailand and meeting the wonderful people there and training in their camps. I’ve also been to camps with master toddy in Vegas as well of training at fairtex.

I have done other martial arts since but Mt will always be my true love. I have lived in places where there has been no MT so I studied other systems. Where I live now there is no MT but I train 3-4 days a week on my own. My advice to anyone is to find a place that teaches MT learn it, stick with it, love it!

Hey, no problem. I always look at our Scots brethren with affection. I mean, they can't look after themselves. They have their own "Parliament", so they pretend to rule themselves, but the English have to finance them.

Its like having a kid. You let them think they're being grown up, "making their own decisions", but basically they do as they are told.

                            Fond regards Leonhaggismuncher!
