      apocalypse now

The coolest one I have seen so far was Minato Taro (former middleweight kickboxing champion in Japan), who used the classical music piece that Robert Duvall played out of his helicopters before his squadron hit the VC village in Apocalypse Now.

            It was crazy...

Started off light until he decided to start pounding me with heavy punches. I get irritated and push him into a high kick which almost drops him. Ref gave me hell for that and cautioned me.

He was a fast puncher with a better reach. i started working his legs but i got warned for that as well. Who the hell has heard of a "Soft low kick". Got warned for a spinning punch which my forearm connected with more than my fist. Then i got my final warning after a back-kick spinning punch combo knocked him down against the ropes. Had serious points deducted.

The fight wasnt in my favor. I got stopped and cautioned too many times whereas he didnt. I did get him with a hard side kick which echoed through the whole place.

In the end he won on points. His punches were hard but they didnt bother me - he got a lot of body shots in which i never felt. His kicks sucked. Everytime he threw a front kick Id clear it away and hit him with a glancing high kick.

After I drop more weight Im gonna fight that bastard under proper rules.

If you train for full contact muay thai - DONT FIGHT LIGHT CONTACT (unless you have a good background in Taekwondo or something)
