Mirko is the next Pride sensation and will probably be champ. He probably has the hardest roundhouse of any Pride or K1 fighter out there. He gave Silva a friggin temporary tattoo on his right side ribcage in their Pride matchup and he dropped Igor with one roundkick to the jaw.

Mirko isnt a Thai stylist. He started out as an amateur boxer with a pretty good record - he then went on to win a Full Contact Kickboxing title in Seoul.

Ive heard some people say that he has a background in Kyokushin karate - but im not too sure about that.

His high kick is amazing though. Not as well set up as the high kicks of Peter Aerts - but definitely faster.

Yeah, that's one of the things that cracks me up about Cro Cop, that he can just throw a high kick without setting it up and take someone out. If you watch a replay over and over you can see that he telegraphs it but he has so much speed its ridiculous. Plus, he wears those little tight shorts so you can't see the shorts move as well, especially with his white-ass legs against the ring floor.

I don't know about the leg kick but I did see a clip where Hoost dropped him with a right hand body blow.

i love that guy and as u said the only thing that bugs me in him is those nasty tight shorts ,other then that i have video clip of him beating the sh*t out of 10 or 11 not at once ofcourse but one by one, and the tatoo on the rib cage i have it ,see the other guyz who he drilled an oil wel in their heads ,but instead of oil comming out blood is drewling..
amazing and about his jick "jp" i realized that he fake like he's going for the ribs and as soon as his opponent lowers his defence the guyz foot goes breaking his defence ,so he's not only powerfull he's one pretty smart fighter

Ernesto beat Mirko the first time with low kicks in the 3rd round. That was in 1996 - Mirkos first year in the K-1.

the 2nd time they fought was in the Finals of the 1999 Grand Prix. Hoost knocked him out with a punch to the ribs/liver in the 3rd round.

the last time they fought was in 2000 - in the first round of the Grand Prix. Hoost won an Xtra round decision. And that was that. Though i think in this fight Mirko caught Ernesto with an axe-kick which got his nose bleeding and stuff.

Ernesto has beaten the best... 3 wins over Andy Hug, 3 wins (all KO) over Jerome LeBanner, 2 wins over Peter Aerts (1 TKO in 1989), 3 wins over Mirko, 3 wins over Stefan Leko, 1 KO win over Mike Bernardo, 2 wins over Francisco Filho, 3 wins over Ray Sefo (1 KO and 1 TKO). No shame in losing to Mr Perfect.

I love Mirko too, but I think that his strongest feature is the Invisible one - his mental praparedness. He has developed that "Mike Tyson" look of confidence that cannot but intimidate the other guy. I mean, has anyone seen the way looket at Fedor after his (Mirko's) PRIDE fight wit hVovchanchin? I think it speaks volumes.

I aint been into watching K1 but recently all the talk about Mike Tyson fighting in it has got me really interested and it seems the more I read about it the more intrested im getting in the K1. Anyway has anybody got any links to this cro crops fights, heard a lot about him.
