well you may find it exciting, but if you dive in frrezing waters with strong currents which become stronger beeween the submerged structures, and do it for twenty days, add to it spending the rest of the time decompressing when you dive very deep; that ain't so exciting, too many illnesses raleted.
It's exciting to dive for pleasure less if it becomes a job.

This is yet other example of why kung fu is so wasteful. It shouldn't take that long (10 years) to learn a system.Fighting ablility and effectivness should be learned in a year or two tops (or less), but of course you get better with time and experiance.

I have students with no prior MA experiance and in 6 months of training there aren't to many trained martial artists who can touch them.

You think MT sucks, so why now are you wanting to learn?

because learning kungfu is one of my hobbies, its really interesting to do hand combinations that even my mind didnt dictate my my hands...... it is just my forearms who dictate my hands what combinations might suite to a particular situations......
                    (Chi Sau Theory)

even when i reach 500 years old, i still have severe interest learning kungfu..... i enjoy hitting banana trunk to hit using vast combinations......

cause every martial art styles and systems have their own weaknesses as well as their advantages........

the very important thing to do is not to let your opponent know what is your style/systems weaknesses as well as your advantages in a fight......

                    Convinced???????

One of the very Good Question of Yours......

                      ok, i'll answer it.......

my kungfu instructor and i (including my 14 kungfu classmates) have only 3 years of KungFu training....... after that, we are on our own, we need to find job, we are going busy in life........

now, from 4th year up to 10th year i continue to learn kungfu without my instructor, our club is gone.......

how can a kungfu club grows if there are only 15 students???? since we are not commercialized.......

but sometimes, i met my instructor downtown and only ask for some guidance and kungfu faq.......

my instructor says we are only students, he cant consider us as a kungfu practitioner cause he taught us only 55 ChiDianBunKungFu attacking alphabets.....

my instructor said that practice that 55 alphabets and in time to time, you'll discover the 6-to-more applications in each of the 55 alphabets.....

                      making it:

                      55 alphabets x 6-to-more each = 330 unique techniques......

actually there are over 200 ChiDianBun alphabets all in all......

my instructor doesnt want to teach us next technique if he notice that we dont mastered our previous techniques..... the reason why until now we are only Students of KungFu.........

The Tae Kwon Do here in our place, if you have money, you can earn a Black Belt then claim yourself you couquer yourself.......

                      my kungfu instructor said:
The requirements to become a KungFu Practitioner is at least he knows how to use really 3 kungfu weaponry and start learning 6 set patterns of ChiDianBun.......

me???? i only learn only 1 kungfu weapon and that's Kiam (Jian) KungFu Sword, so i cant considered myself as a kungfu practitioner, instead, i am only a kungfu student......

i also know only 1 set pattern and that's called Beng Hu Ha Shan......

Chi Dian Bun Set Patterns: (for students only)
                      1. Beng Hu Ha Shan (original ChiDianBun set pattern)

                      4. Hak Pit Sa Kun (with the influence of Hik Tai Chi Chuan)
                      5. Haw Kit Sa Kun (with the influence of Hik Tai Chi Chuan)
                      note:
after completing this 1st 5 set patterns and knowing 3 kungfu weapons - you are now ranked as a KungFu Practitioner.......
and after completing this 1st 5 set patterns - you may now start learning the Seven ChiDianBun Fighting Elements (Earth, Rock, Water, Wood, Fire, Metal, Air and there's the lost eight element - Gold)

                      Note:
                      1. Earth - as heavy as the earth (your strike hand strike is a very heavy for the opponent to redirect it....)
                      2. Rock - as hard as the rock (AngKa KungFu) Iron Skin Training (as well as NgoChoKun)
                      3. Water - as soft as the water (very soft and useless, but go to the top diving board and jump, make sure you drop to water body flat and feel the pain that water hits your face)
                      4. Wood - as flexible as the wood
                      5. Fire - as heat as the fire

and the lost 8. Gold - Precious stone that men wants, just keep it, not to show it, not to show your art in public......

                      Note:
this 7 (originally 8) Fighting Elements of ChiDianBun is not the same as XingYi Quan.....
this 7 fighting elements of ChiDianBun have unique applications/techniques each of them........

                      Note:
After mastering the 7 Elements of ChiDianBun KungFu, the third lessons to learn is the most advanced "THE PHOENIX EYED FIST of Chi Dian Bun"

my instructor said if NgoChoKun has its Iron Body as well as AngKa has its Iron Skin and WingChun in the US has its Iron Bridge Forearm ------- well..... ChiDianBun also has its Phoenix Eyed Fist in order to match up and be competent.......

i am not looser, cause i have my half of the KungFu Alphabets even thou our club is now gone..... once you know the alphabets, you are not a looser.....

it is like you know all the 26 English Aphabets, you dont need to memory a million English Existing Words in the Dictionary just to have the ability to conversation to someone who also knows English Dialect..... Once you know the 26 English Alphabets - you have the ability to speak a millions of English Words......

it is also the same in KungFu..... i dont need to memorize vast plenty of kungfu alphabets, why???? cause i know 55 ChiDianBun Alphabets, 108 WingChun Alphabets and 25 NgoChoKun Alphabets, not to mention my 5 Families of TaiChi learned, Mantis, and other KungFu arts learned......

                            Note:
if you only know 6 English Alphabets, then how can you reply to my stupid qoute?????

Centuries ago, the time that Hik TaiChiChuan and ChiDianBun doesnt merge yet...... a lot of useless alphabets of ChiDianBun, but those useless alphabets were gradually deleted as well as upgraded until they merged with Hik TaiChi and now a total of more than 200 ChiDianBun alphabets..... all of them are century proven on its effectiveness in combat..... but i only know 55 and it doesnt matter......
