    I need some advise on how to improve my speed using jab combinations. my left is slow. My jumping Knee strike also seems slower. How can I improve this?

        Do some resistance training. Different ways to approach this. Shadowbox and do Mitt work with LARGE boxing gloves on. Shadow box with weights. Shadowbox while holding one of thoe bungy cord contraptions. These things not only will help your speed, but also your power.

            This may sound stupid but examine your form as well. because many people who may not be as fast as others really seem fast because of the difference in release time between their foot moving, and their hand shot. Are you using prepatory motions to inititate your jab? telgraphing, see if your foot moves before your hand, this is more of a boxing technique but it works. Because if your foot is arriving before your hand, not only will you expose your face, but he sees it earlier as well.

            once agin may sound stupid but a common thing you can use to improve your perceptual speed.

                Although everyone (hi everyone) is right, it seems to me that Nit's post is most precisely "on the right track" as far as attributes are concernet. If you want more explosive power (speed/power) go with some plyometric exercises.

                  HI! It might make sense to try to shadowbox using rubber band or rubber tubing. Concentrate on straightening arm to full extent, and tubing itself will increase return speed, creating a habit to reverse gab fast.
