Spoken like a sensible man. Sparring is training for fighting, not fighting. We all know guys with the "lightswitch" mentality..that is they are either ON or Off and not anything in between. They also don't ever seem to get any better either.

Good luck in Thailand man, I ain't never been to a Muay Thai camp but it sounds like the shit. Best wishes, sincerely. If I tried to go they would probably laugh at me for being a far out old man or something haha.

S.Anucha, when exactly and where in Thailand will you be training? I am moving there December 1st and hope to move up to pro after a few more fights. I might fight out of Lamai Muay Thai or SSI in Pattaya again. Maybe we can meet up somewere. Let me know man.

28th december, up to Chiang Mai, training with a couple of fellas, Thai fellas, ex champions. Really good instruction and if you fight you dont pay!

Lamai (Did you mean Lanna?) Muay Thai is very close to where I train at.... its cool man, the guy who matches me up trys his hardest to do it fairly, I have only had two fights there, 3 in total with 2 being there.

I know a couple of people that have fought out of Lanna and have heard nothing but good things about it, I'll probably visit there at one point and maybe I will fight there. I also want to train at Pedro Villabos's camp that is located in Changmai.

Lamai Muay Thai is a camp on Koh Samui that I trained at before and another 2 friends have fought out of. I have been to a bunch of camps and Lamai is one of my favorites for learning. It's strictly a foreigner camp (even run by a crazy German guy) but honestly it was one of my best training experiences of my life. During a 2 hour session you will spend most of that time doing sparring type drills, it really sharpened up my defence and reflexes.

I also like training in Pattaya at ISS because sometimes you get to meet and interact with K1 Champions (even get a little training from them if they are in the right mood!). I also have a few retired fighter friends there and the personal training they give me is great.

You'll have to email me when you get there, will you be spending any time in Bangkok? Around December 28th I should be in Bangkok.
