  • Sapp's 670 bench press couldn't save him

Bonjasky did a fine job of litterally kicking Sapp across the ring and dominating the action. Bonjasky fell and Sapp took a cheap shot, DQ ing Sapp.

Sapp outweighs everyone he fights by at least 100 lbs. Not to mention his incerdible strength advantage, but gets hurt as much as the guy that he fights. Even in his victory against Hoost, he hobbled out of the ring.

All you kids that keep asking what excercise should I do to strengthen "this" or "that" should learn. Bodybuilding isn't going to make you a better fighter. Be happy with your build and work with it. If you're lean and tall, fire your jab constantly. If you're stocky, keep your head moving and attack the body.

Any fighter in the world would be better if they were suddenly given the strength to Bench Press 670lbs. It just seems that Sapp loses out as he hasn't developed other attributes sufficiently.

I agree, benching 670# would be great....of course I never had to fight a 670# barbell!

what about his conditioning he was sucking wind after the first minute......strength is no good if you can't last the round.

Sapp is just ....embarrising to real fighters....if he was 60lbs lighter he would have a different record.

Sapp wants to look intimidating, its how he makes big bucks in Japan. Its an illusion if you will.

If he lost 60 lbs and worked anaerobic stamina and cardio, he would be a much more effective kickboxer. He needs speed and better technique if he wants to be taken seriously, otherwise he's just another "Tank" in the world of K-1.

Strenght is a good thing. But its not the only thing.

Sapp would never be any type of fighter, because he exhibits total lack of tecnuque, stamina @ understanding of what he’s trying to do. Also, shame on K-1 and their referees. Don’t you think that 2 stoppages because of punches on the ground are due to bad referees? Don’t you think Sapp had a knock down right before stoppage??? Was it Counted?

                how about if your 5'9 178 w/a 75"(6'3)reach?
what should your technique approach be in that scenario in your opinion?

75" reach is a God-send for someone 5'9". If you're fighting a guy with that reach, call the zoo
