  • Break a leg!

I want to read about your favorite destruction technique, leg attack or bone breaking strike for crippling and maiming the lower appendages. Weapons are delightfully welcome here if you please. Why a leg? Why not?

    Thanks.

Edit to add disclaimer: This thread is for educational purposes only! Do not attempt any structural cutting or empty handed limb destructions without proper training... It is a violation of law to inflict trauma!
I am in no way responsible for any trauma inflicted on any person that might attempt to perform the techniques or tricks of bone breaking or joint destruction or cutting with any blade of any size...

    Enjoy!

      Empty-handed responses

      1. Low thrusting side kick.
      2. Thai kick to outside thigh or after slipping a punch straight on the thigh or knee.
      3. Low push kick.
      4. Knee strikes to the thighs.
      5. Foot stomp - can be done to set up a punch while closing the distance or as a strike while grappling (stand-up)

Any kick that's going to work has to be a kick that commits your body weight to the target and you have to be prepared with missing i.e. your opponent rides away from a thai kick or absorbs it and a cross is coming your way.

      Setting up the kick too.

Hands need to either post on your opponent, be covering or just about to strike.

      Grappling moves to the legs:

      1. Knee bar - great defensive manuever when someone's got a rear bear hug, kind of works if they have a headlock - need to bump em first.

      2. Ankle lock - if you end up in their guard (ground) or seize one of their kicks.

      3. Ankle pin (if you have their back)

      Takedowns

      1. If you do a single leg, with shoulder hiting below the thigh, you could possible break the leg.

      -----------------------------------------------------

All of these techniques are to be practiced with a qualified instructor and are intended for self-defense only.

I'll let someone else touch the weapon work to the legs.

There is an illegal throw in Judo they call Kani basami or scissors takedown.

This little known technique can be done in a "flying" variation where both feet and hands leave the ground or a "crab" version that you will post on one hand. There is a notable K-1 fighter that is famous for this throw. Remember his name?

It is banned from Judo because of the tendency to maim the Uke, esp. knees.

Kansetsu geri.. The stomping side kick to a locked knee.

The small bones in the foot can be broke easily enough that a stomp with the heel will break one or more...Intent is important.

If you should be so skilled as to catch a front kick twisting rapidly in one direction then forcefully twisting the opposite direction will cause severe trauma to the ankle or knee, the first turn brings the uke into position for destruction in the opposite direction. Don't do this to your friends!

I have others in mind but they work better after a takedown, these just make the takedown a bit easier...

Jeez you guys are all sick... breaking peoples legs and that...

here's my favorites, although I admit limited knowledge in this...

                1. Stomping on it!... Especially when its outstretched etc...
                2. Kneebar...

Yeah thats it barehanded, really only thing I can think of...

I always thought kicking em in the knee from behind and pushing there face into the ground and ze kicking of the face would work more though.

Yes... I know but I wanted to target the low line and see what came of it... I'll get up stairs in a few...

You could drag the destruction line off topic you know... Or start a new thread of your own.

I don't think a broken bone is a fight ender myself but it's a good start (at ending it) I tend towards overkill personally.

                      Hey Mike,

Have you studied Vu's RAT? Your destructions kinda sounded like something from his system.

Going on little sleep at the moment due to workload....

what's the difference between the RAT stuff and other kali destructions, like guntings and elbow destructions?

p.s. any pictures of these techniques in action would be appreciated
