  • I'd be interested in hearing Uke's personal experiences against multiple opponents.

    • In Model Mugging, they teach you to simply line up the opponents, and then get on the ground for when the first one comes in, but to be sure to stand up again so you can line up the 2nd and 3rd guy, and then you can get back on the ground to take out the 2nd guy.

      • Hit hard, hit first and never think that you're going to lose. The rest is just technique.

        • 1. The gang doesn't think you can hurt any of them
          2. They aren't expecting you to take them on. SO
          3. Kill the bastards (your mind set)
          4. Or they might kill you
          5. Or cripple you

Suppose you catch the 'leader' as he is talking, you deck him with a rt-left to the jaw/nose. He is bleeding and you boot him one hard one, taking out a tooth... All in about 2-3 seconds.
Then half the time you are going for punk number two, the rest are wondering if this is such a good idea. They are cowards, which is why they need their 'homies' with them

Suddenly they see you can damage them and this usually turns the tables on them.

Caution. Watch for weapons, usually knives. Get shot dead, well you died trying

          All easier said than done.

            I like that.

Make lots of noise. Get mad. Stay calm.

I couldnt agree more! Your odds are stacked against you already as a defender against multiple agressors. So dont be a defender! If i walk out to my car and their are a bunch of guys standing around you better belive i am going on the offensive im gonna pick the loudest one and hit him first and hit him as hard as i can and im not gonna stop. Your odds still are stacked against you but in that situation the best defense is good offense let them worry about defending themselves.

              • Or Choke out the loudest and biggest one. Choke out's are awesome. Use a Standing choke, try not to go to the ground. LOL

                • yea choking him out would definately send a message to his buddies that you are dominant and if he is on the ground out cold their focus may sway away from harming you and towards making sure their buddy is ok. However i would stick to striking if possible i just personally dont like the idea of grappeling in the street. I myself am not a big guy by any means and i wouldnt wanna pit pure strength against pure strength because when you get thrown to the ground and your rolling around on pavement with broken glass and his buddies are stomping on you with combat boots, well you can pretty much kiss your ass goodbye. If i was gonna grapple i would most likely attack the limbs with simple parries and locks.

                  • I see your point, However I am talking about a lightning fast standing choke on the biggest, loudest and most intimidating one. I am speaking from experience but perhaps I just got lucky in the past. LOL

                      • I say go high and low. You have to definitely mix it up. then run when you get the first chance.

                        • in my style the rules are:
                          1) avoid having your back to anyone at any time (ideally keep them within the front 180 degrees)
                          2) if the shizzle hits the fan, use one man as a shield between yourself and the other men

                          • I'd suggest some of you read the older posts in the first couple of pages. Its all spelled out there. Solid basics and practical methods usually don't differ much.
