You know how Fang(1) Bian(4) sounds almost the same as Fang(4) Bian(4) but mean......uh slightly different things or like the phrase Chi Doufu doesn't only mean eating tofu....
All these areas are a good point to hit but you need need to be hitting in and down at an angle of 45% (excepton the back of the head, where you need to hit upword at an angle of 45%) to make them work. Power Black DVD Set | Russell Stutely | Europe's No 1 Expert

2. Hitting the chin up to cause a KO works by creating a contra coup type injury. That means you pop them in the chin hard enough, or just right in order to make their brain swish back and hit the occipital lobe on the back of their brain box hard enough to make the forebrain rebound into the front of the skull. They wake up not being able to see right for a couple of minutes...similar to smashing them in the back of the head with a blackjack...only less likely to kill them.
Just remember that a punch here can break your fist.
4...doesn't work, sorry. I had my eardrum ruptured by a slap...it threw my balance off a bit, but I went on to knock the girl's boyfriend out, with no real problems for about 45 minutes, when it really started to hurt.
Have you collapsed every time someone touched jaw? Same thing: a ruptured ear drum is a "high value" target but not magic.
6. Hitting the throat can kill...but who knows.
You really need to ask yourself whether you need to win the fight that badly you'll risk going to "Oz" before hitting anyone in the throat. You need to be able to show that your actions were *proportionate* to the threat you faced: that someone else started a bar fight and punched you a couple of times probably won't be enough.
Did TKD to BB when I was a teen. Now do Hapkido and MT. I am in the process of developing a self defence style that mixes the simpliest and dirtiest techniques from all these styles and am gathering information from those who know more on the subject than myself in order to make it more effective.
Plus, my brother is a cop and he is helping me by telling me what people do on the street eg, how they attack, grab, position themselves etc so that I can study this and find effective ways of countering or avoiding these situations.
There is nothing secretive or different that I am doing from those who have done similar things before me, but this is more for me, my family and those who want to learn (hopefully) good self defence without the bullshit. I still have a long way to go but I believe I'm on the right track.
I think you're in NZ? It sounds like you might want to train with Tank Todd. He does pretty much the sort of thing you're interested in and his reputation is second to none - trains the NZ SAS, protege of Rex Applegate, public props from the chief unarmed instructor of US special forces - probably the best military combatives teacher in the world.
