I'd use the ear thing...I'd grab the dude by it while pumping palmheel strikes into his face. If I rip that fucker off in the process, more points for me.

So...I don't get it...does a second set of fucking arms grow out of your back when you get into a fight?

      Guess you wouldn't know...

        Yea ok, smartass

I was trying to think of ways to make this move useful. You never know I could have 4 arms.

Yeah right. So, if you can hit someone hard enough to rupture their ear drum..... why not hit them in the jaw anyway?

I can see how some moves can be transitionary.... like a quick pokie in the eyes! But a palm strike to the ear is just as telegraphed as a hook to the jaw.

Thanks for calling me ignorant though! That assisted the topic a great deal!

If you knew a cupped or palm strike to the ear was moreso a transitory method then you should have known it was not limited to first strike execution nor rotational. There are various ways to target the ear and in various scenarios whether in the clinch or groundfight.

There are 2 things we need to consider from this topic. The techniques and the result. A rupture is not guaranteed nor is a KO from a hook to the jaw (unless your placement or timing was on the money).

When you make comments such as you did without further knowledge then it is ignorant.

              Don't sweat it.
That's 'Thai Bride's' preferred method is all.

Stick to sterotypes, martial mythology etc and he'll be your best mate (might even send you his/her promo-tape)
