Chris Pizzo is not a Captain in the US Military SF (and never was).
Last year his ad claimed he was a LT (LT X) until it was pointed out there are no LT's in SF, by the time they complete their training they've been promoted to a higher rank. He also never served in any SF unit belonging to the the US Military. The only verifiable military record indicates he was in Army Intelligence (Psyops) and a desk jockey like the rest of the psyops crowd.
He isn't affiliated with Carl Cestari either so beware.
ANY time you see someone claiming an Intelligence background and SF you know they're full of shit, take a trip to SOCNET and see for yourself. Look up Mr Pizzo there along with another guy who claimed to be Psyops and "at the tip of the spear." He said he's just moved from Colorado to DC and was very excited to visit the Spy museum his screename was Mos97B. The mods went out of their way to point out he was a fraud and then banned him, it's an interesting read.
There are specific MOS's (jobs) from which ALL SF applicants have to come from, Psyops isn't one of the acceptable ones making it IMPOSSIBLE for anyone with a Psyops MOS to become a Ranger, Green Beret or Combat Diver in the US Army REGARDLESS of what they may claim.
firstly, i wish to apologise to the commitee of this website for displaying this level of ignorance and foolishness. i want to thank Tanto1 for correcting me as well as the other kind member. i have written a letter to captain chris to return the merchendise and return my money on recieving your replies. however, with all due respect, i wish to enquire with the 1st person who posted the reply on this thread: how do you know of captain chris's background in such detail? but anyways, thank you for alerting me in my errors. i will delete the link to prevent any more victims.

I'm familiar with Mr Pizzo from several different sources including a rather long "discussion" with him over his claimed credentials when he first created his LT X character.
If you know the right people its extremely easy to check out SF claims, there are also specific mistakes that are ALWAYS made by people who would know better were they who they said they were. In order to earn Ranger, Green Beret or Combat Diver there are a handful of men who train them, one of these men will know you or of you, or they know who to ask. Spec Ops is a very small community, the Instructor Cadre is even smaller, if the instructors don't know you, you weren't in their classes, if you weren't in their classes you ain't SF.
It's tougher to verify the status of SF prior to the 70's without paperwork but it's simple to check out guys from the last 25 years if you know the right people.
If you're not connected it's tough to know the difference, posers fool quite a few people on the net so don't be too hard on yourself.

youd have to be seriously warped to pass yourself off as something like that without having been it.
We had one guy at the gym i went to in london that kept claiming to be a former champion through OUR GYM. yet hed never fought before.
Imagine doing that in front of your own instructor.
Same kind of mentality i think.
Im not really sure why people fall for the idea that special forces soldiers will be great at martial arts. Weve had paras and marines and a couple of ex SAS guys at our gym (genuine) and they couldnt particularly fight. Great fitness levels though.

I'm glad you looked here for accurate info. It can be difficult to sort through the hip deep BS some folks spew to find the gems you're looking for.
Knife and gun drills are useless. There is a possibility to disarm an attacker, but that would be a pure luck. Your best action is a fast kick to the groin. Whenever you had a confrontation and attacker puts his hand in a pocket, get close and kick to the groin.
Once the knife is in the hand you should look around for any object on the ground, like stones, or get your ass outta here.
Without this drills krav maga is a regular low class system
So what is the guy with the knife/gun supposed to be doing while you are kicking him in the groin and looking for stones?
It has to be done fast. Hand in the pocket - kick to the groin. Hand behind the back - kick to the groin. Once the weapon is out, you put yourself into trouble.
By the way, it is not nessessary that you will look for stones, etc. It is just an option. You can also throw your watches into attacker just to win time
